This is a very creative take on the theme and I loooove it!! Very fun to experiment with different sounds and the graphics were really nice!! Too bad that some beats didn't trigger (as you wrote) Awesome job :D

Really clever interpretation of the theme!! I like how the multitracks  work as layered loops. Very creative!

Feels like a Mario Paint kind of concept. I really like the pixel art and VST choices for the tracks, particularly the first one... actually where did you get the first one? I want it now lol

Developer

Thank you! All the instruments apart from the drums were made using an Arturia MiniFreak

It's really neat, and the song that comes together is a pleasant surprise. I wonder if there are some ways to gamify the mechanics a bit so that you unlock new features over time. Well done!

Developer

thank you so much! I’m going to create a more gamified play mode after the jam ends that ideally would mean you have maintain change your track over time

Wanted to try some other train games. Did not expect to create music while I speed around the tracks.

Not much of a music person, when i cant play any instruments, so didnt create any masterpieces.

Would have liked a bit more feedback on the different notes and how they connected to each other. Forgot what trees and building what each note was. So had to try and fail a lot with that.

Nice and relaxing train track decoration. I really like the idea, too bad the web build is sometimes not playing notes (always fun to discover last minute that something isn't quite working in web that was working perfectly well on local build - been there too).

I loved the zooming out to other tracks and the play on words of adding more "tracks". Very clever, a shame the webGL issues meant I had the bug with several notes not playing.

Even that games wasn't working for me at all(
Even this few times I heard the beat,
it was amazing, I so much love this idea.
That zoom loop effect is really nice fit in the theme as well!!

As the composer of another train game, I must say that I am disappointed that there are some issues with notes not triggering and no downloadable version, because it is the only thing preventing me from playing for hours to your game.

This is just amazing, reminded me of my young self playing with these kind of flash games where you make your own music. 5/5 well deserved and please tell me if there will be an updated version because I need it

thank you so much! This comment really meant a lot. I’m for sure going to make some updates including adding a polyrhythmic mode and effects chains

Very relaxing game :-) And the sounds, you have implemented, do sound nice.

FYI: In fullscreen the bug did not happen, only when closing fullscreen some notes didn't play.

Amazing. Could easily play with this for an evening. Would like to be able to change the train's speed. around the tracks.

Nice little chill game. The aesthetic is really nice and the different sound work well together.
Very minor complaints is that the icons don't really match models, so sometimes I would use one but forget what colour icon it was and have to test them randomly to find it again. The placement hitbox should be taller so that when I try to replace a sound it's harder to miss since the models were taller than the hitbox. When you zoom out too much you can't really see the first track, would be cool if it were more visible so you could see your entire work.

Just repeating myself, these are very very minor complaints. The game looks cool and works really well.

Well done!

Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback.  The issues you've mentioned are totally valid, I ended only starting on Saturday afternoon so was just hammering stuff in but overall i'm pleased with how it came out.

I just thought of a quick solution for the icon not matching the model. Just have it highlight the icon when hovering over a model. Shame it's too late now

You should definitely feel pleased with the results, came out great!

Ah thaty's actually a great suggestion, I was trying to do everything so it was intuitive and required no tutorial, and that fits perfectly

Nice wee toy, appreciated the context of the assets and where they're placed like a little civilization. I had issues with some of the objects not playing their sounds and I figured you needed objects around it, but maybe you need the right combination? Not sure how it might work exactly but I found it pretty unique and entertaining regardless, nice job!

Developer

Thank you! yeah a load of people have tried to figure out the puzzle element which is really difficult considering it's just a bug that seems to occur in the WebGL version lol

Great musical take on the theme, also unlocking each loop made it easier to understand :)
