Your Average rank is #115 in GMTK 2025! Congrats!

Here is the link with all the rankings:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pcYEGvaHF3y30mMEWwywmkRd2FCpo-u3_ZFpPFSo...

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.

Love the art on this! The actual puzzle is very simple, but I think it's a good base to do something really interesting.

Great game! The scope is short and sweet which is nice for a jam game, and the art (And 3d map with indicators) are very impressive!

Great job!  You made it look easy ;)

PS: I do wonder what the initial plan with the unicorn was :p

Developer

Thanks a lot ! It's precisely because the scope was not that big that we were able to create all that cohesion for the world and the art.

It wasn't that easy x3 As always : it is time committed that can make a project that much coherent, and we had the possibility to commit all the time we wanted to make the game as polished as possible, even if it doesn't have that much content.

Julie will explain better the story of the unicorn (there's already a comment a little bit bellow where it is explained), but in general between the principal puzzles we thought about some secondary things that the player could've done in the world with little rewards(Similarly to Kirby epic yarn, where therse's a lot of little things that can be iterracted with), and the unicorn was part of it

First of all, absolutly gorgeus art! Second it's cool to see someone also thought about mebius strip.

The main mechanic is interisting, it would be curious to see how it plays if you can "teleport" to the other side anywhere and not just in specified locations - I feel like it might open possibilities for some more involved puzzle designs or just completly break everything.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thaks a lot ! Oh you also did a Möebius strip :0 ? I'm gonna see that juste after ^^

Oh yes indeed, it can open some new puzzle concepts, right now I don't know how much it would break the game xD

Something we also considered while thinking about the strip, is that if you cross the strip while keeping the character rotation, the world around him would've been flipped upside down, but because we already commited to the fact that there will be a ground and a sky on the strip it would've been complicated to make the character not fall in the void. But this also can be tried in a more enclosed world !

Stunning game! I'm a HUGE fan of the art, the hand-drawn tapestry style is simply gorgeous. And the way you implemented the Mobius strip-world, with the map and all, that was really clever and well made.

(Fun fact: i also considered making a Mobius-strip platformer for the jam, but i didn't because i thought it was too hard to do and too confusing to the players, but i'm so glad someone managed to make it work so well!)

Developer

Thank you !

There's actually some people that said to us that they wanted to make a game with a mobius strip.

We're happy that we've done an experience that embodied the thoughts of other people, and that they resonates with it !

Game so beautiful you forget that this is a game. Animation is really beautiful, though I'm not sure what the inspiration for the art is. Gameplay is pretty simplistic, though I am not sure there is much gameplay to begin with. Very impressed by the art (again)

Developer

Thank you !!! The inspiration for the art was medieval tapestries and illustrations (I didn't quite manage to include every reference I had in mind due to time constraints, but for example you can see the unicorn in it's enclosure which is in reference to this piece of art history called "the Hunt of the Unicorn Tapestries" :

The Unicorn Rests in a Garden - Final piece of "The Unicorn Tapestries", Netherlands, circa 1500, Current ownership : MOMA

And there's lots of reference to medieval art in other places too (the sun and moon, the way the cat is drawn, the amount of details, types of buildings... Even the fact our main character is a little rabbit chimera is reminiscent of medieval manuscripts :)) (yes I am a huge nerd)

As for the gameplay, we wanted to make sure every mechanic we offered was well polished. Clemicle spent a lot of time making sure everything worked smoothly (he's the one to thank for the entire code, the physics on the jumps, but also for the general level design and concept as a whole). We do love that the game is slower paced, we wanted the universe to make sense - and I think we did manage to do just that ! If it wasn't for Clemicle I would never have dreamed of applying my art to a Möbius strip !

The map explains it a bit better, an we wish we could've built in more puzzles but time was of the essence - maybe we'll pick the project up again sometimes and build upon what we have now !!

Interesting, so that's why it feels so familiar. Really great art

very original as art direction !  very pretty game !   amazing work guys ! <3

Developer

Thank you !!

Amazing art direction, 5/5!

Developer

THANK YOU !!!!

What a beautiful artwork! I’m surprised you managed to complete both the story and art in such a short time, which is rare to see in gamejam. Also that lovely little guy deserves my stars:D

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed the art ! As I've said I really liked your game too <3

Credits for the completion goes to Clemicle who kept us both in check in terms of ambition so we were able to wrap this up neatly :)

Submitted(+1)

Super interesting and neat art! Great job in such a short time :)

Developer

Time isn't a burden when you want to propose something nice to the audience ^^ It was a great pleasure to craft all the pieces for this game !

Submitted(+1)

Wow, what a game! What is not to love? The asthetic, the artwork, the narrative... the creativity?! Well done, this is really a beautiful game and experience, I hope  the little creatures will get banished again ;)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot ! We are pleased that you enjoyed your traveling through the Tapestry :D

There's definitely an infinite world of cool surfaces that our creature could be wrapping its head around, it could also ask politely to the monk if he has other worlds in its pocket x3

Developer

Thank you so much !! I'm glad you enjoyed the experience (and I also do hope we pick it up again sometimes, for now both the little creature and its creators have to get some rest though ;) )

AMAZING

Developer

NO YOU  >:D

Honestly a pretty complex game in such a short amount of time, did you guys get any sleep?? Really good job! :)

Developer(+1)

Yea we got a bunch of time to work on this x3

Not that much sleep indeed, but it was such a blast to push ourselfs with the dev and the animation ! We loved each hours we took doing this jam (Even the final rush hours xD)

Developer

We definitely didn't sleep as much as we should have ! But it was out of love for what we were creating rather than time pressure (and also because both of us were deep in the ZoneTM).

Submitted(+1)

Short & sweet and super cool, absolutely gorgeous and unique art! Had a real wow moment seeing the map :D One of my faves so far, amazing work <3

Developer

Oooooh wow thank you so much, it means a lot in such a huge jam to hear we are some people's faves' <3

Submitted(+1)

A quick tutorial would help ease new players in, but overall this was a stellar

Developer

Thank you so much !! We definitely thought about adding a tutorial, but for the purpose of the jam we thought it might be more interesting to let players try to figure the world out on their own

Submitted(+1)

First of all, beautiful art style. Second, I praise you for making a playable game with a short story. It isn't something people do in a game jam, but even if the experience was short, I really liked the concept. Hope to see mor of it one day.

Developer(+1)

Thank you ! We are really proud of the art style so this means a lot :) the story came together very organically, we're maybe planning on expanding the game and including short cinematics at some point

Submitted(+1)

That would be really cool. I'm into it.

Submitted(+1)

Interesting concept! I love the artstyle, the mobius strip was fun to wrap your head around on.

Developer

Thank you ! I had a hard time wrapping my head around it and spent the jam working on the art with a physical one on sight :D

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the mechanics of the game and the art is very beautiful. Great job.

Developer(+1)

Thank you !

Submitted(+1)

Very fun concept. It's short but very fun. It's clear a lot of effort was put in.

Developer

Thank you ! Our goal was to make a polished game, hence why it's short ! We do see future possibilities if we decide to push this further in the future. I'm glad the amount of effort we put in translates well - it was quite an intense jam :)

Hey it's really cool seeing more "bold" artstyles. Really cool aesthetic. The game's page background is super cool and high quality, you should release it as a wallpaper(?) The protagonist is super cute ^^. The game design is quite simple but works, and the möbius strip thingy with the 3d map its reaaaaally cool.  I am curious tho, what was the (i'm gessing) original-but-removed intended purpose of the "re-stitch" mechanic? Nice work guys ^^.

Developer

Thanks a lot for this review ! We are so happy that the execution of our idea and the art style appeals so much !

To answer you question, there wasn't that much more about it, because we just directly implemented the fact that you can revert the state of contraption (we can see them as levers), then the 2 puzzles were made with simple use of those contraptions. I was thinking "Let's make those 2 and think later about more usage of the stitch back" but... We took a lot of time to make the whole thing coherent xD (adding the map, the dialogues, putting the assets together), and little did we know that we didn't have time to create more puzzles

So yea, the mechanic is here, but it's not currently used x3

Developer

Thank you ! I'll look into making a wallpaper out of it soon, but for now my drawing tablet will enjoy its well deserved break !

I'm glad you enjoy the artstyle ! I put a lot of research into it, with the goal of making a coherent world/universe for the character to evolve in :)
