This was extremely well polished for a jam entry! The intro, the art, the music - it was all very well done. The only criticism I have is that I was able to beat the game very quickly by aligning two platforms just enough that I could jump from the edge of one to another but I assume that wasn't the intended solution. Regardless, really well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We eventually really focussed on the polish and quality. The puzzle and gameplay fell a bit short due to that haha.

There is no true or intended solution and I like to see all players finding different ones - the trick is to make it make you feel smart and not like the game might be broken - huge takeaway for the next jam game

Pressing the buttons and seeing the platforms rotate felt really good. Took some time getting to the center but it was very fun!

Developer

Hehe, yeah it should take some time! Otherwise it wouldnt be a "puzzle" right?? Cheers!

It's visually quite stunning though! I had trouble playing the keyboard at first, but that's absolutely not your fault, it's just me who's terrible at it. :p

But otherwise, the loop works pretty well, and graphically, it's still super cute! The music is joyful. I know this is just a prototype for a Game Jam, but there's a way to make it a great game.

Developer

So cool to read that! Awesome that you had a good time while figuring out the controls of a keyboard ;D Thank you!

now from the beginning this was beautiful , nice narrative and story completed with the great artwork , the game play is fairly simple and the loop is different from what i usually see in other game.

If you have time, can you check out our game as well?

Developer

Haha, thank you Jesser. Usually you dont have to ask! If you write a comment we will sure be checking it out! Nice that you enjoyed our entry!

First off, this game was gorgeous, I really lliked the vibrant colors and the color palette you chose for everything just made for an overall cool vibe. Second off, I feel like the mechanic of rotating the level around like that has a looooot of potential for complexity, and I would totally love to see more if you ever come back to this project. I think the player could do with a little fine tuning, the jump felt a little floaty to me although that's just a nitpick as I know the player controller is not really the focus of the game.

Congrats on the submission, and overall well done!

Developer

Wow, thanks for the long and kind comment! Awesome to read that. Congrats to you aswell!

really nice visuals (always nice to see a gamejam entry in 3D) and I liked the overall charm to it. The loop concept was really nice and I think its a good prototype of it given the gamejam limitations. Solving it was very trial and error at first but I think I got lucky with moving things around where the inner 2 circles were lined up before I reached them and I could jump across to the goal.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We feel the same way about the prototype thought. Glad you liked it!

Cool narrative that quickly gets to the point and a very nice environment. Only the music felt out of place, it was too cartoony and jolly for a mysterious ancient temple.

Developer

Thanks a lot Khyi!

Loved the Indiana Jones vibes and what you were able to do with the simple puzzle concept. Great game!

Thank you :)

Indiana Jones? We only know Senoj Anaidni ;) Thanks for your feedback!

Let him cook!

I really liked the prologue of the game; it made me feel as if I were in one of the old Indiana Jones movies — or the Lego game! Such a cool idea!

I don't know if it was a bug or something to do with the way 3D works in Godot, but sometimes my mouse would flick a bunch all by itself.

Developer(+1)

Nice - the LEGO Indiana Jones games were fun haha I think we had one on PSP back in the days ^^

The mouse flicking sounds weird - should not be related to godot

And food will be served!
Thanks mate. Very cool that you enjoyed it so much!

I like the look and feel of the environment! The puzzle and movement is a bit dry (very dry to be honest), but at least the stone moving sounds are satisfying!

Developer

Thank you :D yeah working on the visuals kinda took over and eventually the gameplay suffered a bit ^^

First of all I have to say good work on making it run smoothly in the browser and look good at the same time. The puzzle itself was quite nice, but I guess I got a bit lucky with it as I kind of accidentally found a way to the center when just fiddling around with the buttons haha. Great work though!

Developer

Thank you :) We are also very proud on the visuals hehe

Yeahhhh the puzzle was a bit lost along the way - it is actually very hard to design it to be challenging and enjoyable so we just went with a "you will make it by pressing buttons" approach in the end haha

Submitted(+1)

I wish I could say I solved it easily xD super fun interpretation of the theme, and very cute visuals! Love the storyboards! The music brought back some memories, haha. Great job!

Developer

Haha! Took me a while too in the first playtests :D Thank you! Means a lot :)

Super cool visuals and narrative!

Developer(+1)

Thank you :) We are also very proud and happy with the results and that we made it work to run in browser hehe

Submitted(+1)

This ... puzzles me 🤔 (in the best sense haha - had fun playing around with the buttons!)
I really love the visuals and am a huge fan of the reversed narrative of returning rather than stealing the artifact!✨

Beautiful.

Thanks mate :)

Very creative map and puzzle mechanics. I like the concentric ring segments.

Developer

Thanks mate!

love the artstyle, the gameplay was a bit confusing though, i even encountered i guess a bug where i gotten teleported around constantly after jumping to the next loop

Developer(+2)

Thanks Kamil! Yes it could be a bit clearer on what the task is. The bug you encountered is a new one for us too.. -sounds fun tho?

Developer(+1)

Thank you :)

This is indeed a bug, never happened to us and I have no idea why that happens ^^

You are supposed to find the buttons scattered around the map to rotate the loops so that you can make your way to the center - it's a bit of a puzzle
