Now fixed! The second half is now playable and I hope you enjoy it! I'm afraid it does just end after the second song still, but if people really wanted a polished version or more songs/difficulties added then I'd be happy to spend a bit more time on it!

such a cool game and heavent seen anything like it so far in the jam, very cool game with a good narrative and unique twist. felt like a true dj. great one!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad I got the feel I was going for across :) I'll be uploading a fixed version when the voting is over!

I don't play a lot of rhythm games, but I quite liked this one. even when I was bad at it, lol. I liked the gameplay and the story. Shame about the second song that's can't be played, when It's fixed I'll play again!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm so glad people want to come back and play!

Love this interpretation of the theme. I'm not very good at rhythm games, but this is a super cool way to do one. The way the keyboard mimicked the turntable was really smart. The art and vibe of this was great too. I'm willing to admit I suck, but I wish it was a bit easier to hit all the notes. They felt really fast to me, even early on. Shame about the glitch but hey, this is incredible work!

Shame that the game's broken, I found the rest of it very fun (even though my brain kept pressing the switch instrument keys when I don't mean to lol). The story's very relatable too.

Thank you so much! I found the problem (I accidentally had 2 of the object that allows you to swap instruments present at the same time, so it swapped and swapped back in the same frame) so when the voting is over I'll be uploading the repaired version!

Ooo this was a very creative and intuitive set of controls! For both a first jam *and* first rhythm game, this was incredibly solid - well done!

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm glad the controls felt good to use (I was worried I was the only one who would like them lol)! I found the problem that broke the second half and fixed it so as soon as the voting closes I will be uploading the repaired version!

I haven't played that many jam games yet but this is my favourite so far and it doesn't even work lmao. I love the idea, (I'm a big fan of osu mania and the gameplay of this is just that with one extra thing) the presentation is great, the bad news is funny. The music is genuinely great. I was still pretending to play the second half until it wouldn't progress because I was enjoying it so much. Got such a high score in my head lol.

Will definitely revisit this in a week when you inevitably upload a working version!

Thank you so much, I'm honoured that mine is your favourite! I've never published any of my music before so it means a lot that you like it, and I'm glad the bad news was funny LMAO (also there's a 1/100 chance that one of the pop ups feature a picture of my puppy)! I found the problem that broke the second half and fixed it so as soon as the voting closes I will be uploading the repaired version, then you can get a real high score!

I definitely will! I would love if you could check out my game as well and let me know what you think.

Developer

Just letting you know the fixed version is up now!

Brilliant right up until the glitch, definitely something I'd play again

It's great up until the glitch. The visuals are really impressive

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the bit that worked :)

Unfortunately there's a bug in ONE LINE of the code that makes the second half unplayable ;-; I was working on it all the way up to the last second and didn't get to test it first :( when the game jam is over I will correct that one line
