How does your game fit the theme?
You are a small, lowly part of a computer system. Your job, day in and day out, is to execute pre-determined programs by connecting electron beams to their targets. This is your life: Solving the same identical programs for eternity. ...Or is there a way to break free? Perhaps if you could short out the programs by forcing them into infinite loops...

This is a very polished game! I like that there is a story here and that you have implemented loops in multiple aspects.  Great work!

cool game

Wow, this was special! I love that the object was to "lose" as a literal code bug. All mixed with a narrative about finding your own way in life. It will make me feel bad about fixing bugs in my code.... almost.

Very good presentation in this game! Happy to see another sokoban in the jam, and a well polished at that! I like the puzzles presented, as well as the visuals/sound, but the puzzle playing can use more polish.

For starters, of course, is the undo mechanic, as it was painful trying to push all blocks correctly only to misinput something and having to reset it all. The other, combined with the first, would be not locking player input during monologue - when you reset a level, the lines that have played at the start will be played again, with no way to move while they do so, slowing everything significantly.

Other nice thing would be to allow for faster movement. You have a fixed speed to push blocks for having time to play animations, but it would be nice, if you could spam one button to do it faster than fixed speed.

Great submission to the jam, had lots of fun beating it!

Nice little spin on the popular "bug in the code" story. The awesome artwork and visuals combied with great sound work makes this game an unique one. Gj :D

Fun little game! Has a very polished feel for a gamejam. Super clean art and presentation. Only thing that is missing are some animations for the little bug guy,  besides that it is executed perfectly.

Oh yeah, very fun! Nice polish for such a jam game!
Love the end of level effect (when you make a loop)

The difficulty scaled real fast, in my opinion. Found myself having trouble pretty quick. Could be me and could just be that balance take a while.

Great game!

Enjoyed the puzzles here, they are decently challenging!

Good job with this game, felt good to play, but an undo feature would had been really nice to have. Really like the idea of being a bug breaking a program that runs over and over again

It's a really creative idea and  a fun way to fill the theme! The idea of being a bug in the code is really cool, and the way you implemented that into a puzzle is well done!

This is an excellent idea that was executed very well.
The level of polish is extraordinary.
:)

Although, it did glitch out for me when I obediently connected the circuit in program 3 (see screenshot).
I guess I found signs of a bug in the code in A Bug In The Code.
XD

...

I'll show myself out...

This was excellent! Good level of difficulty with these puzzles. Made me think, but I never felt completely stuck. I also enjoyed the story with the bug vs the system. Well done!

<insert generic praise here> :) in all seriousness, interesting idea, never thought about escaping the literal game loop before. great references as well!

I think I would like to be able to skip dialogue. I would also like to be able to pull a box, because sometimes I push it into a corner. A lot of my playtime was me thinking 'how can I get this over there without getting it stuck?'

I think it fits the theme well. Good choice of music and sound effects. I like the art you have made, it all looks smooth and it goes together; it looks better than just a jam game. I like that I'm an actual bug in the code. 🙂

I usually don't like puzzles, but this one was polished, balanced, not too difficult and had great visuals and audio, as well as a story! Great submission, well done!

such a fun well designed game with excellent polish. Way more fun to destroy when possible :) The soft locks can be annoying but may be more of me just not thinking and just acting so it could make me more passive then I would like and slows the pace some. Proving that puzzle games can have plenty of pacing issues. Its nice to see puzzle games that arent locking you into one solution too.  great idea. This is a solid base for a solid full game with work.  Nice Loop Integration also

Such a good puzzle! I really like how there is not only an intended way to win the puzzle, but also to fail it by doing exactly what the computer wants you to do! It really fits into the jam's theme as well, I really like this!

An undo button would have been nice, but also I wish the restart button had zero delay, as in, when you press it your input stays blocked while the computer is talking sometimes, and that's a bit frustrating

I do wish I could press 'Z' or some other button to reverse a step, rather than having to reset the entire level. The visual polish in this game is outstanding though, I enjoyed playing this

Very high level of visual and audio polish, and excellent level design! This is the kind of stuff you would expect to see in a full release, but you managed to create it in only four days, so good job!

Overall I had a lot of fun playing the game and the fundamental game design is solid (you can't go wrong with a sokoban game), but there were several small quirks that made it less enjoyable.

Firstly, the fact that you have to be facing an octagonal box in order to rotate it using the r key means several times I found my self accidentally pushing the box when all I meant to do was turn to face it.

The fact that boxes can't be pulled (which isn't necessarily a problem), combined with the lack of an undo feature and the unskippable dialogue each time you restart and the frequent softlocks (e.g. pushing a box into a corner when it needs to be somewhere else) made the game feel tedious at times.

Also, starting at the first level that two sources of the electron beam were introduced, there were several moments where the beams did, in fact, visually create a loop, although not in the exact intended way, which led to a small amount of frustration as to why it didn't register (during closer inspection it's possible to see why the loop isn't actually complete, but at first glance it's hard to notice).

I greatly enjoyed playing; the puzzles were each challenging and most had a good "ah-ha" moment, so great job! Most of my criticisms are small details, it has a very solid base and a lot of potential to be a great game.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate your honesty about the not-so-great parts.

FYI, you can rotate blocks without needing to be facing them by just clicking on them. But also, I think it would be a good idea for me to change it so that you can just rotate yourself by pressing "move" in a different direction, instead of rotating + moving all in one go.

Loved the premise, the simple art, the soundtrack, and the dialogue. This is a heavy hitter for sure!
