Amazing work. I wish I could travel multiple slot at once, but overall really well made and polished
I'm glad you liked it! You're not the first one who wants to be able to do that, I'll most likely implement it. The difficult part is to know what path to take, there could be multiple that are the same length.
Nice game! There is a lot of attention to detail in the artwork, and it was fun to build up currency by continuously buying and selling. Well done!
Thanks for playing!
I do like the concept! Simple and cozy.
I hope to see if it gets expanded.
Thanks! I really hope so too
The steam page is live! Wishlist it and get notified when it releases sometime next year https://store.steampowered.com/app/3930780/Merchanting_in_1346/
Thats a brave move to make this game! And only you made it in only 96 hours? Respect bro!
Enjoyed this one for a very long time. Love it would like to play more<3 Hope you expand it :3
Thank you for playing! There will be more to come :D
I'm just thinking of all the "definitely not too big in scope ideas" like adding multiplayer and a level/event editor. But if not that there will atleast be a lot more content and bigger maps! Having storage in your home and travelling back to earlier "levels" to sell for even higher profits are also some ideas.
This is such a great game. Its a fun and easy to understand mechanic that creates a lot of strategy. I loved the random events too. And trading stuff to make more money was very satisfying. Would love to see even more of the story. I definitely agree the donkey was too good to only appear once. Well done!!
I'm glad you liked the donkey >:D
My plan is to continue expanding it while keeping the controls simple. Things like being able to travel to other maps for selling exclusive wares is one idea. I also really want to try to make a easy way for players to mod in their own events and maps.
I've been thinking about some ideas for a longer story, and I've got a steam page now if you wanna wishlist it :D

Hey, that's awesome! I'll definitely be sure to wish list it!
What an incredible game. I had to force myself to stop playing so I can continue voting other games. Outstanding work!
Thank you for the kind words! I hope I'll see you again when I'll do a full release on steam!
Went to Norwich and got mugged 5/5. Honestly though this was really good and it was REALLY good for something done by only one person. How did you manage to assemble and the assets and create something so clean in such little time. I'm totally blown away by what you put out.
As for the game itself, yeah it hooked me. It was just so charming from the get go and those little dings every time you do something right was incredibly satisfying. I did softlock once (well, until I got mugged). But otherwise it felt really fair. Just a really refreshing and enjoyable experience all round. Once again though, HOW did you do all this on your own in that time? This has been a very inspiring experience!
The thieves in Norwich are quite something haha. I saved a lot of time by creating a shader for the ground, in reality it's just coloured blobs, but that shader give it a more painter look. A big part of it also comes from the practice of using godot for 5 years, I can rather quickly find bugs: bugs I would spend hours debugging 5 years ago I can catch now as I'm writing the code. I also spent some time upfront to create the event system which let me easily add more content, for example, creating the summer market with it's options only took 5 minutes.
Because of how easy it can be to add content I'll probably make a proper level/event editor for the full release!
Thanks for playing!

wishlisted!
Very good idea. Liked the setting of it.
This is amazing work for a solo dev. I saw some games with a similar concept, but this is the best of them. Good job!
Thank you!
It's insane how many events and how polished the game is considering you were solo deving, incredible stuff!
Thanks! I made a nice system for handling the events so it the process of adding more was very quick.
Oh, so now we're solving the traveling salesman problem! :D At time it feels like the randomness of the game makes it unfair, but I was always able to progress eventually. At one point I was afraid I was soft-lock because my inventory was filled with medicine ingredients and money (except for one tile), but again after some back and forth I had enough luck to get enough money to upgrade it. It's a pleasant game overall. I like the mix between exploration and management. And the art and music are fantastic! They offer a really nice mood.
Hi, thanks for playing! Could you explain how the soft lock worked? Weren't you able to get any more items?
I was, but it was only in one slot. Making the game way more difficult!
The art is ridiculously good. I'm amazed at what some people can achieve in such short time. Well done!
Thank you!
This is so good wth. I LOVE the art so much holyyy. Great job on this!!
Thanks for playing!
incredible that this was all done by one person. this one is a wonderful puzzle!
Amazing entry, very polished loop, lovely dialogues and the best of all: Donkey, good donkey, mvp.
Thanks! I've been getting so many compliments on the donkey, hmm, how peculiar
Donkey sequel incoming
I can’t believe you made this in just 4 days. It looks crazy polished.
The art is amazing, and the gameplay is super fun. The random events and story are very charming too. I’d definitely buy it if you release a full version on Steam. 10/10
Thanks a lot!

a rly simple premise, but so satisfying to play, i was on it for a while!! love all the different little interactions, i rly started to feel part of that world :) thanks for makin this!
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Did you try to do the extra challenges in the description?
Really lovely style and idea! A great Game Jam game. I think with a bit more, it could really be something!
Thank you! My goal is to release the game with a level editor too! Both to make your own maps but also your own events.
Really cool art and story, love the overall aesthetic. The music was also very calming. The day-night cycle effect is also really helpful!
Thanks for playing! The day/night cycle effect was actually implemented just 3 hours into the jam! Without it I think the robberies would get out of hand.
