Oh there's only 10 levels! I stopped on the last one lol

An undo button would go a long way to improving this game. It's sort of punishing right now having to redo the whole level if you mess up once. Especially with how large the puzzles can be.

Showing the current state of the lights would also be useful to the player because right now you have to mentally keep track of what's turned on and what's turned off. Showing the player gives them a hint as to what still needs to happen.

Developer

LOOL! Yeah... sorry only 10 levels were made for the jam. I agree with you about the undo button, and that's already been added for the post jam update! As for showing the current state of the lights, it wouldn't make sense to light up the lights before the circuit is complete. However, I agree with you that it would be helpful to know, so I think I will find another way to show what energy you have so far!

Great game and the tune is banger. But why is level 3 harder then then next 10 levels?

Developer

I am glad you thought it was great! As for level difficulty, I feel that it depends on the person playing! Some people find complex things easier to understand, and others vice versa. Check out Melody Ayres-Griffiths from Pixabay, that's where I got the banger tune from 😁. Thanks for playing!

I'm on level 10 and this game is making me use 100% of my brain. Granted I first started at about midnight my time so my brain cells were shot from the start.

This is a good game with a unique premise. I dig it.

Will try more levels after I sleep.

Great job!

Developer

I'm happy you like my game! Thanks for playing 😁

Neat puzzle game. I do think the harder puzzles (9 & 10) have a bit of a "where do I even begin" vibe when you first open them, but you definitely start to feel the structure at least to some degree as you play them. That is, you start to discover more well-defined requirements than "somehow get all the stuff," e.g. on level 10 I eventually figured out I needed a route that let me go through at least some blue pipes, and that I therefore needed up to 2 blue lightnings.

I did have fun with the puzzles though. Solving them was quite satisfying.

I love your thought process! This is exactly what I hoped for from someone playing the game 😎 Glad you found the puzzles satisfying!

Cool concept makes an epic game!

Please rate my game!

Thanks for playing! I'll make sure to check out your game when I'm free 😁

Very cool concept and execution. The pacing of the levels are on point, each one time teaching one one new thing and tricking you on learning from your mistakes. Art and audio are great and fit the genre perfectly. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for giving such a kind review 😁

Thanks for playing Selim!

Love your puzzles. Had much fun solving them. Wish there was some kind of "1 step back" button, like in Baba Is You.

Developer

Thanks for playing 😎 I’m going to add an undo feature as soon as the jam is over, thanks for the feedback!

Some of these puzzles really had me thinking!

Super well done! Art on point as well :)

This was a super fun, clean and polished game. Phenomenal puzzles with some  real thinkers in there. Very impressive for a game jam. I loved it, well done

As a fan of ricochet robots, I like the feel of this game! Looking forward to solving all the levels :)

If you've got the time, please try out my friend's game : https://excalibur277.itch.io/tasks-of-the-spell-looper

Super fun idea! The mechanics work very nicely together and the art is very fun! Though the difficulty jumps at times the levels are still very fun to solve. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing 😁😁

Impressive puzzle game! I really wish I could just "undo" a bad move instead of having to restart the whole puzzle though... Overall though, great submission, really fun :)

Well balanced game, the right kind of difficult while still being fun. I love the art style too.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing my game 😁 It really means a lot that you liked the art style — art is definitely my weakest point and I’ve been trying hard to improve 😂

Very nice game, a good interpretation of a classic genre! The tutorial was quite good (introducing new mechanics gradually, good difficulty progression)!

Developer

Thanks for playing 😁

This is very well made and thoughtfull puzzle! And very gun! Would like to listen to different audio pitched actions, becouse it souns unnatural sometaimes, but overall its fun!

Developer(+1)

I am glad you enjoyed! 😁 Your feedback about changing the audio pitch for actions is exactly the advice that I am looking for. I will implement it after the jam is over, especially for repetitive actions like the wire placement. Thanks for playing Divishka

Very nice, cohesive art style. Incredible UI. I needed something like this for my own game. I liked the puzzles, they were a good difficulty for a jam. The sounds add nicely to the atmosphere. There is no narrative, but otherwise incredibly solid entry.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I am glad you enjoyed the puzzles. I think the next step for me is to learn how to do dialogue boxes so I can add narrative 😎

for mine, I literally made a giant, 200 line function that sets the text, then awaits a signal for either user input or a challenge completed. That's in godot though.

Developer

LOL, 200-line functions are such a game jam thing! I’m using Unity, so I’ll probably have to cobble something together with UI panels and coroutines 😅 Definitely taking inspiration from your setup though!
