How does your game fit the theme?
Jump 'Till You Drop fits the theme because every time you beat a level you need to loop through all your past levels to get to the next one. The loop goes way deeper than that but I don't want to spoil the hidden part of the game.

Love how the levels expand as you loop and the atmosphere of the game is great. Music does a great job on making you feel something wrong and the SFX of the typing as the man message you is good. I m a sucker for pixel are so the art look great as well. While I wish there was more to the environment the simplicity helps with what I think you are conveying.
very impressive for a first project! liked the incremental design of the level
Cute game and impressive that you did this for your first game jam! I like the atmosphere and graphics, but found it a bit tedious to always re-do the level to progress a little bit - would have been nice if the level also changed a bit, maybe just graphics or slightly different positions of the elements! But generally, solid entry, job well done, be proud.
Nice game Greg! I like the vibe of the whole thing, you really created a nice atmosphere. Maybe when backtracking the level add some extra elements where you have been before. Great work!
Incredible, art is beautiful, I love the one bit style (don't think it's exactly that but still) on each asset, the important things like spikes and springs being vibrant and clear is well thought out, the player character is very cute too! Vibe is spot on, the whole tileset is pretty and the interactables feel good to use (animation on spring for example). Narrative was fun and kept every loop interesting as it never felt too repetitive due to being driven by the mystery of what's ahead and the sudden gravity changing was very cool! Very pretty logo design too! Overall excellent work, can't overstate enough the lovely art style!
Ok, this was a fun game. I really don't know what the story part of it was tho. you were cloned and a robot came. kinda seems like a cliffhanger. but anyway. the theme, idk is unique to this. it is like any game would be. but yeah seeing it as a first jam submission a good game. this was like just a parkour stuff. a one timer. so if i have to say something to improve, it would be maybe by adding more levels ig. it is self contained and good ngl. i dunno what more to say bout this. this is my 2nd jam.
Very fun! Everything was solid and the lil loop and "uh oh the game is breaking" narrative was definetly enticing. Not sure if it was intended but at some point I had to count on the gravity being reversed to progress and it did, and it made me feel very good about taking that leap of faith.
Random effects on a looping platformer may not be a good idea as it increases the playtime in the initial area, especially when the randomness increases the chance of death instead of the other way round, it ruins the effort of practice and the confidence players had built up.
People usually get interested when they explore new areas or experience changes when looping back to the same area. There has to be a solid reason for players to loop through their playing process and not get bored, right?
The weird and sudden camera movement appears when jumping from spawning point to the first platform. The art style is very consistent and polished.
The combination of the pixel art, music, sound effects and narration really make up a unique atmosphere that I really like.
I wish that the story continued, because I got invested in it and then it ended on a cliffhanger.
The gameplay was my least favorite part about this game. But it is nothing that would get me out of the immersion of the world.
Fun little game! Love how it slowly fell apart as more and more got added to each level. Can't lie, I did see the twist coming, but it was still fun to see happen. The presentation is really nice too, it's got good pixel art, color palette, and other effects. The physics are fairly floaty for a platformer, but I'm also pretty bad at platformers so could just be me. Overall, great game, especially for a first time game jam submission!
Amazing job with the right amount of chaos. Loved the narration too
amazing work. I loved it
Wow I was so much immersed in this game with your narrative ! Amazing work, love this art style and how much mystery you puy in the game, works very well. Would love to see this game with more content !
An intriguing narrative and a fun little romp. Well done!
Cool game, I liked the platforming and the audio was ear candy.
Very nice game and mechanics
Approved.
Great concept, love the villain narrator addition to a - this is the only level - style platformer. Well done! Especially for a solo project, mad props
I really liked this one! I'm not normally a fan of 2d platformers like this and the player controls could have been a little more interesting, but the narrative bits were nice and everything seemed very polished with a nice atmosphere. I was looking forward to more at the ending and was hoping the story would continue!
Well, it’s an interesting short experience. The idea is not that innovative, but playing the same level with some changes IS fun, and that’s what matters. Maybe there could be a bit more content, the gameplay is really really simple.
The art and music are very basic, but the game earns some life just by having them. Overall, a simple and fun experience. I’d give it a 3 stars overall. Good job!
