How does your game fit the theme?
The loop of your revolver's chamber controls the loop of the sun's orbit. Play celestial pachinko and forge a god-killing bullet to escape the looping wrath of God.

Very difficult to figure out how to get a big score, maybe I am bad at pachinko ahaha. The artwork is insanely good

This is a very interesting game, i like the concept here a lot, and the art is amazing, but i think the part i like most is how physical a lot of this game feels. Your bullets become physical balls in the sky, the buttons need to be shot, and the sky moving in time with the revolver makes the entire thing feel like a massive machine of some sort, its very cool.
One issue i had is that the buttons were a little hard to press, which didnt help with the timer.

Very interesting concept! But overall it war very tough game, I couldn't get majority of ash (maybe I'm just bad at it). I figured out that shooting and then spinning the chamber increases chances of getting hit, once I got like 40 from one bullet lol, but since then it was very hard for me, so I quit :(

Developer (1 edit)

Man, it isn't just you. Losing all your ash during God Hour is super punishing, but it's just kinda how the game came together in the end.

I hope you keep an eye on this project moving forward, cause we have lots of plans to improve it!
Thanks for playing!

Yea, I'm following! Interesting thing would be to make start spin in 3D, to make it easier to hit. I see some kind of incremental genre potential, idk why :D

Best of luck with you game, I'm def following you!

Fantastic game! I love the vibe and the concept is really creative. I tried to pause near the end but apparently esc closes the game entirely :( . I just ended up replaying it entirely, though.

Developer

Thanks for sticking to it! We will absolutely address the esc problems in the future builds.

i struggled at the start to understand what to do so a tuto would be great. Maybe some kind of challenge or treats would be a great add. right now it feels too repetitive so some variation in the gameloop would be great. Love the idea, love the art even more :)

Super surreal feel to this game. Loved the atmosphere, and the premise. Super cool idea! Awesome take on the theme. I wish this was a real level in a lot of games!

I could play this for at least an hour.

Developer

That way more than I could ever hope for! Thank you so much!

I really need some control tutorial in this game cause it's amazing, looks amazing, the premise is awesome!, Have 0 idea how to pick upgrades in the shop, had a hard time aiming withour getting my shot offsetted like crazy.

Read in another comment that you plan on working kinks after jam so I'm following, wanna see moooaaarrr

Developer(+2)

Thanks so much for the kind comments.

Absolutely working on shop and shooting kinks going forward, so keep an eye out!

Amazing amazing AMAZING artwork/atmosphere, you did a great job !! I actually want this in VR so i can sit under the stars

The controls were a bit tough to grasp for me, I never quite managed to get the hang of it, but it was still fun shooting around :)

Developer

Hoo wee I think this in VR would make me sick! haha

Thank you for playing our game! My best advice is to aim high and give each shot time to get as many points as possible.
We didn't telegraph this part well in this version, but during the God Hour (color change) you need to spend your star ash at the Thronebreaker anvil. Any ash not spent will be lost at the end of the hour.

I hope you give it another shot!

Big vibes. A little low on strategy, or maybe I'm just not that smart, would love something like this with a bit more of an ability to really affect the outcome.
Awesome job on art and sounds.

Love the vibes this game has. Seeing the sun rotate on the sky was cool and the sound effects do a good job setting the atmosphere! I liked the shaders, though the text in the HUD could have had an outline or background to make it easier to see in front of the floor that had the same color.

Developer

Def want to fix up that UI after the jam. I appreciate this suggestion!
Thanks for playing!

I really love the colos and shaders. The whole ambience is dope. Good Job

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I can see some similarities in vibe from your jam as well! (Also, 'RuneMoth' is such a dope name!)

art is splendid, audio is great, vibes are strong. Gameplay isn’t too great, but i think the idea of a looping panchinko board is really creative and with an extra few days could’ve been great.

Faced a couple bugs as well (if you shoot while running into the edge of the sky-sphere you can clip through + didn’t know about the shop until i read the other reviews, i would put a mention of it on the game’s page since it’s a little late to put it in gameplay , and the lbue fitler makes it hard to see it in the screenshot + winding up the gun and releasing riight before shooting lets you re-run your previous shots + got my ball stuck between two pogs and just got max points once)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing our game. We appreciate the feedback!
There is quite a bit we want to adjust. The anvil came in at the very last minute of the jam so we are just thankful there is a game loop at all haha.
Personally I am okay with the jank of the pachinko balls for now, as it seems rather hard to get them stuck on purpose and the vessel maxes out rather quick. Stay tuned for our post-jam updates!

Awesome vibe.  Nice dopamine sounds once multiball gets going.

Not sure if this was intended but shooting toward the rising sky seemed to let the balls from the prior shot fall again for more points.  Either way, loved the strat for a >= 2x factor on the multiballs.

Developer

I have found that shooting on the rising side is best as well. Setting side will eventually eat the balls while rising will have more chances to collect!

Thank you for playing!

Super fun! I too had some issues with the shop but I worked around it by walking away from the center and approaching again. I think because of this it took me a while to know the shop was even there and had to watch your video to find it.

Regardless, really enjoyed it, well done :)

Developer

Thanks for playing our game!
Yeah, the shop needs some work, but I am glad you could figure it out!
Hope you get to see the ending!

Super interesting game, love the idea, tho i did find iit difficult to progress after some time playing

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! And for sure, the upgrade path/costs are going to be fine tuned going forward.

Played for 10 minutes, couldn't get to 30. When I finally did the shop did not appear.

10/10 art, 2/10 gameplay

Developer

Ah man, sorry the shop was being finicky. We have lots of kinks to work out, but we will not be updating any further until the game jam is over.
I hope you give it another shot! ;)
