Fun and fast-paced! It defenetly kept me hooked, also the art is pretty nice and I enjoyed the music as well. Great job!
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
A really fun, creative, and good looking game! I love the idea of moving in a circular loop, and adding projectiles into the mix was a nice element as well. The chase sequence where you switch directions was really fun and enjoyable as well, and made the gameplay more frantic and fun! The crazy artwork and music also add to the experience a lot, and tie the whole thing together. For some feedback, I think that it could be a little more clear when enemies and the star thing in the center are going to shoot, telegraphing that a little more could make the game even more good to play. Overall, I really liked this one, congrats on the great submission!
Thank you for the kind comment! Glad you had a good time--and we're happy to hear everything felt cohesive! Appreciate the feedback, too--the star character definitely could use some visual queues. We'll try and clean up some of those issues after the jam. Thanks for taking the time to play!
The game is really beautiful and creative. I had a few small issues with the controls, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. I also really liked the art style. Great job!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Controls definitely need work, but we're glad you stuck it out and had a good time :)
I really enjoyed this one! The difficulty curve felt pretty good and I like the arcade feel of it! Like a few others said, I didn't quite catch-on that I could only move in one direction at first so I was a little confused but I did eventually understand and had a lot of fun once I did. Other than that, you may want to add some telegraphing to the enemies that shoot. I found myself feeling unsure when they were going to fire, or in which direction, at times and loosing lives but other than that, awesome game!
Thank you! We appreciate the feedback--the projectile enemies are definitely on the unfair side. Glad you still had a good time and found the difficulty reasonable!
Had trouble with the controls but eventually got it to work after refreshing a few times. Game was hard but rewarding, which I enjoyed. Also I like the surreal artwork and the music!
Thank you for playing and the kind words! The controls are definitely wonky and also lack explanation. Glad you stuck with it and found it enjoyable. Cheers!
A little confusing with the controls at first, this little game quickly developed into a fun joy with a great concept regarding loops! Personally, I would adjust the controls a little so that you can run in both directions, and have the projectiles from the middle object announced in advance, because they are - without having seen them beforehand - relatively unfair.
Nonetheless, a solid & fun little game with nice sound and decent graphics! <3
Thank you for playing! Appreciate the feedback, too--the movement is something we're definitely talking about expanding on and you make a great point with the projectiles! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment :D
Cool game! I though it was pretty creative and fun. My only complaint is that you couldn't move backwards at all so it made dodging pretty hard, though I understand the reasoning for it. Great job!!
Thank you and thanks for playing! Thanks for the feedback, too--we wanted to restrict movement, but the way we went about it certainly isn't ideal. We'll keep thinking on how to improve the movement in the future. Cheers!
Short, sweet and incredibly fun! also the art is beautiful. Great job!
Thank you so much for the nice words! Glad you enjoyed the artwork :)
Wow, one of the best games in the game jame jam!
Thanks for playing through and the kind words!! That's so nice to hear!
very enjoyable little game! now imagine if you had a slide button and some projectiles couldnt be jumped over, you'd need to slide then you could get more combos in. As it is it is also very enjoyable, the loop circle could be bigger though with more obstacles to overcome! Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback and ideas, too! If we expand it, we'll definitely want to make the world a bit bigger. The ideas for action elements is super helpful, too--thank you!
Very nice game. Great job!
I was a little confused at the start when I tried to move the other direction. Would also be nice to have a little tutorial at the start explaning a little and the letting the player go :D
Thank you and glad you enjoyed it! Good feedback about the tutorial, we definitely want to brush that up a little bit. Appreciate you taking the time to play and comment!
cool game man nice work
Thank you :D
Cool concept, but I feel like the game needs easier levels at the start to learn the mechanics (no backward movement, jumping on enemies to get bullets...) Apart from that, really cool game !
Thanks for playing, commenting, and the nice words! The ramp up in difficulty and lack of explanation could definitely be improved--appreciate you taking time to provide feedback!
Liked what all was achieved in such a minimum space
Thank you! Glad we were able to deliver an experience in our tiny loop :D
Really cool idea, the music fits well the world. I liked to do all the level in one way and then do it all again with harder difficulty and the switch of the music was really great. My recommandation for improvement would be smoother gameplay overall, smoother teleportation of the character when he completes a loop. Right now it felt kinda rough. Maybe the portal downward when you complete a loop could be a real sprite instead of a white line, something like a door. The change of color and music could be smoother ect. But these are a lot of things that require time we don't have in jam so I understand. Also at first it felt strange to not being able to go backward, maybe some chill loops with tutorial for each of your mechanic could help. Nice work overall !
Thank you for the detailed feedback! Definitely agree that the gameplay could be tightened up, and we appreciate the ideas about improving the transition! We like the core idea, so we want to put effort into improving it, and all of that polish is definitely something we want to strive for!
Thanks for taking the time to play and share your feedback and recommendations--we appreciate it! :)
Really cool game the music reminded me of crashlands
Thank you! I gave the crashlands ost a listen--I see the similarities!
very cool concept! the fact that you cant run back works well with the core gameplay. the movement is a bit stiff but i enjoyed it overall! definitely loved the game
Thank you and glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the feedback--I'll try and get the movement feeling a little better in the future!
This concept is pretty good, very creative. It felt a bit stiff (not being able to move backwards at first) but It's justified. Loved the art a lot, the music is fantastic, I hoped there was more of it, but the experience is complete. Congrats this is a pretty fun and unique game.
Thank you for playing and the kind words!! And I appreciate the feedback! Making the movement and jumping feel better is definitely one of the first improvements I'd like to make after the jam.
yeah, this is cool. liked the bowling ball attack! i also liked that you couldn't change direction so every move matters. music was great. nice work!
Thank you for the kind words!! Glad you liked it :D
Music is great, I like the effect when you go on a next level. Inability to go in a different direction felt strange, especially when both left and right buttons are mapped to movement, maybe it would be more logical to give the player only the stop button haha.
Thank you! Yes the directions are a bit strange--I appreciate the feedback! Thanks for taking the time to play and comment :D
