this game is such a vibe, the mechanics is a bit simple but I love the visuals.

Visually fantastic, only slightly disappointed that the downwards movement animation doesn't look as nice as the hopping in the other three directions. On level 2 if I landed on the exit square while an enemy was spawning that enemy sprite stayed on the screen in that spot for the other levels until looping back around to level 2.

Developer

Ooooh good spot! That’s an interesting one but I already have a hunch as to the cause… I’ll make sure to get it fixed in the post-jam update, thanks very much :D

Very pleasant minimalist graphics and an overall high level of polish. The character could jump a bit faster, but good job!

Submitted

Kinda wish I could move a little faster. Kinda felt like I was waiting more than playing towards the end

Art and SFXs are so good for a gamejam btw. Gameplay also fun thanks!

I've played a couple of games with looping past lives but this one is by far the best execution of that idea. Great work, clean visuals, and sorry about the audio bug! VOD here with my full thoughts. Great entry! Thanks for submitting to my stream!

Developer

Ah thanks so much for checking it out! The one stream that I missed of course :’D - really glad you enjoyed and really cool to be able to watch your run on it! We really appreciate you covering it

The UI looks really clean! An issue I found, if you change tabs, the audio keeps looping the same second. Not that big of an issue tho. Liked it!

Wow, the art is so nice! I cant wait to play gain after the jam and have the sounds! Amazing job!

Very stylish and a cool concept. I bet the music SLAPS as well

Submitted

Style is cool and gameplay solid! I enjoyed it quite much. Well done!

This looks so nice and sleek, such a bummer that the music broke for you, but well, that happens :) Really like the idea, good luck in the jam!

Submitted

Incredible style! Shame about music, but I am sure  that it is a banger too! I completed 4 loops before stopping,  felt like the levels were designed in a way that just following the most basic path every time would result in a enemy that is "easy to deal with" in he next room, which is probably not a bad thing, but I feel like it could be nice with more "gotcha" moments

Big fan of the minimalist style !

Is the first room of every loop always empty ? Was expecting there to be past-doubles in that one as well.

Developer

Thank you! Yeahhh unfortunately, the plan was to have that room be an “item room”/home-base which would allow the player to select an item from a random pool of two, but time got the better of us and we didn’t have time before submission to revert it so it was also a puzzle/challenge room

My gosh I love the minimalistic style! Love this game!

The game only really gets going after 4 levels so stick around! Might be the cleanest looking game I've played this whole Jam
