Loved the tutorial and progression! The use of the bubble to make different platoforming pieces was interesting and kept me invested to play a lot of it!

The platforming felt really fun to go through, I completed all 3 loops! Everything felt smooth which is hard to do in a short amount of time for a platformer!

Cute theme, fun movement mechanics, and just the right level of difficulty. Great work on the game!

Great game! I thought it was overall super fun and creative. I liked the different mechanics, especially the bubbles, reminiscent of Celeste (but different enough). It was super satisfying to launch myself forward with the bubbles! I noticed two minor things that could be improved: 1) the fullscreen was not working properly on my monitor and I couldn't read the UI text, 2) could have been some more/better sound effect (when jumping for instance, and the water sfx was a bit hard on the ears/not fitting).  Overall a fun entry!

Thanks for the feedback! This was my first game on itch using Godot so I couldn't sort out the resolution issues.

the only thing I would suggest is to make the trees and ground more different colors. They're almost the same green. Other than that it's great! Very fun! Also love the art and concept in general. Great work!

Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!

Thanks for the tip! I just reviewed your game!

No problem! And thank you!

Very enjoyable platformer. Physics and jumping behaviour was very pleasant and some parts were nicely challenging.

The idea is cool and it feels good to play.

This is a really enjoyable game. I think the level desing is really good and the concept is interesting as well. I wish there were more sounds though.

Well done.

Such a silly cute little game. I have probably liked this way more that I should but the main guy is just sooooooo cute and that energy radiates out of this game. Really good job!

Thanks for the praise! It means a lot since this was our first game jam.

Awesome little game. That was a cool trail loop.

Very Creative! I like the idea of a hiking trail loop. The physics are pretty fun too, just flinging myself around! I think it's art style is a bit inconsistent, but overall nice job!

Developer

Thanks for the comment and feedback! I think unifying the art is a good tip, as we didn't really have a system figured out for making the sprites.

Really cool mechanic, fits the theme nicely!

Fun platformer! My favorite part was the bubbles, which added a very unique gameplay style to the game and set it apart from other games in this genre. I also like what you did here with the theme - I certainly wouldn't have thought of looping around a trail, but I love how you made it into a game.

The trail changing every loop also helps the gameplay experience never feel stale or repetitive. Good development decision!

As for the graphics, I think they were cute, but a little inconsistent. The background was a brown blob, while the mountains were flowing and looked almost painted, and the level was solid and simple. All the pieces of art look good on their own, but don't fit together too well. Consider a more consistent approach as a next step.

The level design was another plus for me! You used the buble mechanic liberally and I completely agree with that choice - it goes far to highlight the unique nature of this platformer. The design of the level was clever, intuitive, and logical.

Nice work! Congrats on submitting to the GMTK Jam, which is a huge feat in itself :)

Thanks for the kind feedback! I appreciate the tips on graphics because that's probably where we had the least experience on designing.
