I dig the chicken vs egg loop theming and all the unique mechanics you came up with. Dropping eggs down below to hit buttons while gliding over gaps is very satisfying. Level design was clever but a bit rough around the edges in terms of visual clarity and precision (things like buttons overlaying spikes, jumps that you just barely make, very thin platforms to stand on, knowing which chicken has what properties). It could definitely make for a fun full experience with some more polish. You cooked!

I don't really like the game. 2/10 at best. I don't think I've ever been this bored in this jam.

Bro say it in another way or don't say it, that's not nice

Level design is fun, had the occasional issue standing next to a closed door and doing a quick scan of the level before realising I had missed a button somewhere but otherwise some fun mechanics. A satisfying platformer!

Interesting take on the "loop" theme with chicken or egg thing. I like the idea of the chicken dropping eggs to trigger the buttons. For some of the levels, specifically the one with the flying chicken across long stretch of spikes, the timings are pretty tight, i.e. the flying chicken reaches right at the edge of the platform, might want to allow some room for errors, making it a bit more lenient.

Great platformer game, the double jump animations and ability to shed feathers were quite funny! I lost it at the start upon hearing the slide whistle sound because I just bought one a few weeks ago! That being said, I couldn't seem to advance to the next level past the tutorial about shedding feathers, so there's not much else I could critique. Good work!

EDIT: I figured out why I can't seem to progress past the shedding feathers tutorial. I wasn't on fullscreen on the browser, which cut off the sides and hid both of the other buttons that needed to be pressed (and also the exit door lol)

Thank you for playing my game and sharing your experience! and i am glad you managed to play the game in fullscreen!

Nice take on the platformer, some good movement mechanics unlocked by being a chicken. I liked dropping an egg to press a button. Also got stuck on the grater level of the tutorial, after shedding my feathers I can't make the jump across to the button on the right.

Developer

delay your second double jump and you should be able to make it! and thank you very much for playing!

Developer

Thank you for saying that! much appreciated!

That was a good time! Finally an easy and fun platformer, RIP all the eggs lost in the making of this game, could have made some nice scrambled eggs.

Thank you for playing this on your stream! it was a very fun watch for me!

Cool idea for a 2d platformer that's well executed. If anything could be slightly tweaked, maybe a little more coyote time on the character controller. Couldn't figure out how to advance in the room that teaches you how to shed feathers after hitting the button; the exit that unlocked didn't let me go through it but I could have been misunderstanding what it wanted from me incorrectly. What I did play however has strong bones for a solid platformer!

I like the level design and the different chickens with different mechanics is cool. It's funny how the game ends in a paradox, avoiding the answer to the question.

Thank you for playing this on stream! And for the kind words!

I love the game, The chicken is so cute in the level changed cutscene. Can I ask, How many children is this mother able to sacrifice?

Developer

Thanks for playing! And to answer your question, here is the response of the chicken: Bok. Bok. Bok.

A great 2d platformer with a sense of humor that comes through the gameplay. Great polish, I want to see more puzzles and chickens. Bok bok

Very cool game. I really like the idea of using eggs to trigger buttons.  For me the chicken came first 🐔 haha

I really like all the game mechanics you were able to derive from just a chicken! The platforming feels good to play as well. Also, the death animation is amazing lol. I'm a little stuck on the first feather-shedding level tho, what do you do after pressing the button?

Developer

Thanks for playing the game! ( after you press the button the door gets opened so you must go to it )
