This is a fantastic sewer-crawl that perfectly blends modern urban horror with classic dungeon-delving. The writing is clear and the hook is excellent, immediately building a sense of mystery. The layout is clean and the map is clear, functional, and atmospheric. The random tables for environmental hazards and encounter twists are a great touch that makes the adventure feel dynamic and replayable. While the 1960s setting is a step away from traditional fantasy, the core concept of a strange, serpentine cult festering beneath a city is a great horror premise that feels right at home with pulp fiction.
I like that you say the '60's but don't specify the century. Great image of the blade circling serpent on the cool cover. Easy reading & nice tables.
0: it is a nice adventure, a lot of the tables are great, but it kinda gives a lack of a general direction for the story...?
Actually I do have a question, what is the sludge?? Is poison? It will turn the PCs into snake people too? Who is the Lamia? A dark pact is mentioned, but not a lot is mentioned of the evil Lamia
I love the more modern feel of this adventure. I love that you don't provide a specific setting, but one the GM wants to choose. I have seen several RPGs recently say something like "set this in a city you are familiar with", so I could definitely see setting it in my hometown or something.
this adventure is very handy for any osr tabletop games like MÖRK borg if it takes place in Galgenbeck sewer system.
Liminal horror to investigate the disappearance of victims
And my favorite game mausritter that could work for a mouse with a sewer guide background. Great stuff man!
Big thanks! Mausritter seems fun!
I really like the adventure! I can see myself running it for Mark of the Odd (something like Electric Bastionland, The Roaring Age, Eldritch Instinct, Liminal Horror) thanks to the well-thought explanation on the different challenge difficulties! I really like the art. The map is simple and clear. Love how the layout makes it easy to read and find information that the GM needs.
Hope to see more!
Thanks! I hope the challenge difficulties gives you enough information to shape the adventure unto your preferred system!
This is a cool sewer-crawl with a clear layout and a snake cult! I love how much thought has gone into making this genuinely system agnostic with clear difficulty and consequence categories.
I wonder if, at this small scale, instead of many options in d6 tables it would be more impactful to choose one or two and provide depth and connections.
Thanks, for checking the adventure out, really appreciate it!
Yeah that's what i originally thought too, i have minimal OSR experience so i feel torn on doing what i usually do, or follow what people are doing with their adventure... but thanks for pointing that out! Truly appreciated!
Nice flavorful adventure, simple and clear layout. Nice job!
Thanks! Means a lot since it's my first entry ever!
I hope you do many more!
