Themes
I loosely used two themes, "Left Behind" and "Is Physics Real?". "Left Behind" is applied to provide some backstory to the game (a cat left behind on a space station). I interpreted "Is Physics Real?" as cat physics and used that to drive the movement mechanics and abilities.

This was a good metroidvania. I think the difficulty spikes after checkpoint before the end and at times it felt hard to find where to continue next but thats more of a fault of the genre. The wall jump mechanic clung to everything including certain boxes which wasnt always useful but I liked using the combination of skills at the end. Solid entry for a two week jam.

Developer

Yeah I definitely see what you mean about the wall jump mechanic sticking to everything. I'll have to think about how to polish that up a bit. Thanks for playing!

Adorable, controls feels real darn smooth. Love the palette swap feature.

Very nice! The keyboard controls were a little complex for me, but once I switched to controller I had no problems.

Developer

Thanks for playing! And totally agree I think controller is the better experience here.

Really good game.  My only suggestion is maybe a little coyote time.

Developer

I hear ya on the coyote time. Thanks for playing!

What a great game! I’m impressed by the variety of cat-skills you were able to integrate.

Developer

Thanks for playing :)

You had me at the cat! I like the 1-bit style, but a bit of dithering or some texture on the walls would have been great.

Developer

Definitely agree! I would have liked to have some more time to polish up the art a bit. Thanks for the feedback!

Cute game. The pure black/white aesthetics are likely a matter of taste, but definitely keep everything clear. Meow!

This game is awesome great job all around, a good tune and SFX can help so much :)

I am a simple person, I see a cat game I play. :3

And this is a nice little 1-bit cat-themed metroidvania, great work! :)

Tons of fun! I swear my cats have all of these super powers!

Normally it's completely my style of game... but on the keyboard there are a lot of buttons to do things and that complicates the experience for me... the handling is a bit stiff and so it's painful to do the same jump over and over again... after that the atmosphere is cool, the cat is too cute with its little meows and its animation is very successful.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Liked it. Aesthetic is very nice and kitty is cool. I really hate spikes though :D

Good job!

Thanks!!

I begging for coyote time in our platformers, pleaseeee! /lh

The map was super fun to explore, skills were nice and honestly did not expect the VVVVVV like gravity flip, which tied into a lot cool jumps in the end. I do feel like hearts obstructing spikes on top of the play area when you can jump so high is not the perfect solution, maybe just a hear and a number next to it could be a less obstructing solution.

Cat cute, cat meows, multiple cats. GOTY. Super cool entry!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Taking a mental note to remember coyote time in the future :)
