wow..really amazing idea...if you like come play my game and maybe give us a little rating :))
This is one of the best entries in the whole jam. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GAME.!!! The core concept with the anomalies, the way you made it look like an old style tv, and the creepy vibe I got whenever an anomaly was introduced. Great Work. It was a pleasure participating in this jam with you
This was a really strong entry with a creative and refreshing concept. The CRT-style visuals and overall presentation give it a lot of personality, and the anomalies build up in a way that keeps the game engaging and tense. The questions and mix of challenges add variety, and the music and sound design complement the retro feel nicely.
A few things could be refined: the background color change is so subtle that it’s easy to miss, and making it clearer would improve the flow. A checkpoint system would also help avoid frustration after getting far and having to start over, and a couple of anomalies felt a bit unforgiving. Still, these are minor adjustments in an otherwise very fun and memorable experience.
Overall, it’s a polished and inventive jam game that shows a lot of promise. And since we both leaned into unusual mechanics for this jam, maybe you’d also like to check out the game I submitted it offers a different twist on surprising the player.
Presentation is REALLY good, and everything fits perfectly! Great job :)
Really interesting game. I like the questions and the story. I wish there was a little more time to answer. But very well done.
Cool game, the graphics are awesome and the game feels really polished, the sound design is also great :)
Really really well done submission. I wasn't able to get all the way through. I think the weakest part for me was the one anamoly of the background turning a different color. I think it was way to subtle to tell or maybe I was just misunderstanding. I don't know if I was supposed to wait for the game to tell me that the background changed color. But that is the one that always tripped me up. But besides that I think the game was really really great. Really creative concept. I think if you change the background color thing to be way way more obvious I think it would be perfect. I didn't get to the end so I wasn't able to see all the anamolies but I can definitely see you expand on this concept. Really strong submission. Enjoyed it alot. Really juicy also
Cool graphics and the game feels really well polished! Congratulations
Cool game with cool graphics! The anomalies and questions were fun, and the game as a whole is very well executed. I am a personal fan of the CRT style, so this game is right up my alley. Well done dude, be proud :)
Fun concept ! That's a nice entry, I liked the graphic style, and the trivia questions too. The anomalies are fun and well explained, the idea is good and well executed. I really enjoyed playing it !
Possible improvements for me :
Like others, I struggled on the color change, maybe go for a complete color change ? (Or maybe I'm just bad XD).
I think there is a mistake in a calculus question (where the result must be not equal to 4, 18 - 12 = 6 should be a correct answer), but I may have misread something.
A checkpoint system (like every 3 levels) would have helped me reached the end of the game.
Congratulations for putting this together !
I really enjoyed your game! I love the vibe, it was a bit hard for me but still very fun!
Graphics and theme is really cool. I really liked where you guys going with this but the color change is so subtle for me it was annoying a bit maybe it's because of my monitor. Other than that starting all over again is a bit tiresome but it was fun nevertheless. (Other than color change :P)
Thank you for Pointing that out. I didn't realize that the color change was a problem. Sorry if it was a bad experience for you. I will take this into consideration when making my other games
Really like the old CRT style! Really Also loved the anomalies adding up making the game always more difficult, the color difference was sometimes hard to spot and the "don't move your mouse" anomaly is a bit unforgiving since most of the times it triggered before I was able to read the question (still my fault for moving it). Overall, I really enjoied it!
A brave game choice, the music, sound effects, theme are simple and pleasant, I couldn't get past the 3rd part, I can't distinguish colors or I didn't fully understand what was asked of me, but it was nice, I liked it. Good Job!
This game is beautiful! Nice "retro" graphics with CRT effect and super nice mechanics... Really good job!!!
WOAHHH, a really awesome game with a fun concept!! Love the background moving with the mouse, it's a small detail but it makes me happy. The music is also sick. Died on stage 9 on my second playthrough (got to stage 3? on my first) though, so I somewhat wish there was a checkpoint system.
Really like the concept, I think it fits the theme quite well and was really well put together. One of the rules seem to refer to the answers as questions, in particular the Dupe. I think that was one of the issues I noticed. It also seems like it's a bit of a game of memory, where you kind of have to play it a few times to remember the rules, perhaps a more gradual introduction of them would be good. By stage four I was struggling to keep track of the background changing and stuff xD.
The way that the rules build is really fun, and I like the aesthetic. I wish it was a little easier to see some of the rules. The examples you give are really clear but then it throws you right back into the questions and youre like wait, what was I supposed to look for?
Maybe I'm just not intelligent enough though. Good game though I love trivia. I like how the color scheme reminds me of jeopardy
