I really liked this game a lot! I love engine building board games so this was totally up my alley and it also reminded me of the game Terracards if you have ever played that. It was fun to plan around the different interactions and the music, art, and animations made for a chill experience.
This is my favorite genre of game to see in a gamejam! Beat it once with 3636. Saplings confused me as they look like they're part of the quota UI. And as others have said, I wish I could reread placed tiles. That said, it is very satisfying to play and I could see myself playing a lot of this if it were fixed up post-jam.
Nice concept! The game is confusing in the beginning. It's also stupid that you can't view names and effects of what you've already planted. And that would definitely come in handy. The card game concept is interesting though. I like that there's a lot of variability in the game. Not bad!
Good concept and nice art, the idea its original but a quick explanation at first would be ok
I really liked this tile laying puzzle. The game also looks super cute! It would be great if there was more visual feedback to know which tiles combo with which tiles.
Great game with an original idea I have not seen before. A quick introduction/tutorial in the beginning would have been great:)
I really enjoyed this one! It was fun trying to figure out what tiles should go where to reach each quota. I even managed a high score of about 4501!
Just a heads up, you may want to revisit how you implemented the music and SFX sliders in the options menu because players are able to turn it REALLY high up (to the point that the audio will peak severely), and the difference between no volume and the lowest possible audible volume is a bit too strong.
Other than that, nice work!
I enjoyed figuring this out and beating the game! I just wish it was longer and scaled up difficulty, because at some point I just kept clicking end turn to get to the end of the game as my yield was so high. I also wish I could switch out what I selected and know how/when my land was going to expand. overall, good job!
I’m typically not very good at planning in games, but it worked out in this one anyway. Super cute art and style, though I found the font quite hard to read, especially in fullscreen.
Maybe I missed it, but I’m not sure what determined when the round was over, the game over screen just popped up. I would also have loved to see the text on the card while hoving over it, instead of having to grab it to read and then release it and have it move around the hand.
Good job on the game, I had a great time!
Absolutely adore the art - it's so charming and cute! I was a little confused on what to do at first but after the first round I understood. After my board was full I wasn't sure what to do though since I couldn't place tiles?
That said - I enjoyed playing! It is a very relaxing game with soothing music and great visuals 💖
