Hands down my favorite game of both this jam and all prior jams. The digging mechanic is gloriously smooth. Love the humor (do more of that). As others said, you can easily flesh this out into a demo for a full game. Make the cure for mom more expensive, add more upgrades like more space. Add more random audio things. Another layer below to dig to create more machines. You have the foundation of a stellar hit here that could catch on with streamers.

Peak game jam game, falls short of nothing. Amazing result for only 2 weeks of work.
keep this as your demo, and it's a full on steam game ready to go.

Very good job!

After playing and thoroughly enjoying this game I realised it’s not just a game, it’s an experience.  Never before have I been denied the opportunity to access the options menu truly setting the tone for what I was about to get into. The game captivated me from the get go with its advanced modern humour and retro 80s setting. There were welcomed surprises around every corner which I shall not spoil. I highly recommend this game as it can be completed in under 30 minutes.

Absolute f*****g cinema.

Very funny modern humor! Yet, it references many things from well past the year the game takes place in: 1984, making it only feel like an 80's game because the game said so, not showed so. I imagine the future references were meant to be ironic. Some sort of UI for knowing how much of each resource you have would be extremely helpful. That, and making some of the music quieter and or adding subtitles when listening to the speaker would also be greatly appreciated, as sometimes I cannot hear him and most go out of my way to listen. That aside, I love the self-aware personality of the voice and the off-the-walls humor! Despite the name of the disease being pretty obvious, the ending was very funny!
