How does the game fit the theme?
You gamble on coin flips, balancing risk and reward as the more coins you play in a hand, the more you may lose.
It's a game about trying to win but also trying to bluff your opponent.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Only the coin sprites are made by me and even then they are heavily inspired by the Unique Coins mod for the Binding of Isaac.
The table and purse are from Hana Caraka - Interior Pack
The player is modified from a template from the Hana Caraka packs.
The UI is from Modern UI.
The fonts are 04b03 and Daydream Extended.

The code and ideas are all mine and made from scratch.

Really cool idea. I feel like it was a little slow with the coins going one at a time. And you would need different colors or something to differentiate the different effects of each coin. But this could be a really fun phone game. I think you should keep going with it.

I also love that you added a real tutorial. That is a wicked nice touch. I just put up a sign with the controls on it. XD

This is very good, already super polished and the core game is solid and can only get better with the roguelike mechanics /special coins you mention. I actually think this could have serious legs if you keep working on it, a great little gem of a game!

super cute! I got the hang of it quick, the animations are a little slow after the tutorial, but still enjoyable! nice little gameplay loop :)

Very fun game! I think it would be interesting if there were more types of coins \^o^/

It's amazing, I love the game mechanics. I look forward a lot to an updated version with more variety of coins with different effects. Very well done

Actually peak. I LOVED how polished the game feels. I would've loved perhaps a minimalistic jazz-style music track with possibly jingle bells or Christmas motifs to make the game really engaging. But I loved the concept and I actually beat it first try! I am not good with tabletop games irl so I am proud :)

I like this alot nice inscryption take on the theme here. It shows well and is present. I do wish there was a speedup on the coins. I think adding viceral screams too would make it funny as well each bite.

Happy to hear that you noticed the Inscryption inspo! The art in your game entry is so good btw. Yeah speed up would have been my next addition for sure, agree with the audio, submitted it at 6am, but couldn't sleep until I went back and added audio so its a bit last minute lol

Would be great if the animations sped up so you are not waiting for the enemy for too long. Really enjoyed the betting and the visual style, good work :)

I actually had a speed up button when developing! But it was a little too buggy so it didn't make the cut. Thanks for the nice words :)
