Good and interactive main menu. Good art, I really liked the squash/stretch animation. One feedback is that I did not see that riskier routes gave better time. Fun and simple gameplay. Well done!

I like the interpretation of the theme here, well done! The visuals are nice as well.

Really cute sounds for the square! Also the only game I know of to hook me up with a biscuit recipe lol

I didn’t really get the sense that riskier routes = better time but that’s okay. Gameplay was solid for what it was! Definitely a big relief to know I could bump into walls, I assumed I couldn’t touch anything at first and was like “dang even easy is hardcore here.” Anyway, good work all around! :)

This is the cutest square i have seen in a game yet.  The game has a nice aesthethic, the sound design is neat, i like the float sound effect. And the menu in the world is a nice touch.

Fun, easy to grasp, and very polished! My only nitpick would be that it's difficult to know exactly where you're going to respawn after dying (and how soon), which led to me dying a couple times in quick succession just out of disorientation. Other than that, great work! I like the incentive to play riskier in order to get a better time.

This reminds me of some old Flash games. I guess it's the simplicity of the design and gameplay, with that punishing difficulty that was usually seen in those games. Ah memories. The game is a simple yet fun one, though I guess with W always pressed, the game felt quite trivial in some levels. It's a shame that hard mode was not implemented, or I would be really curious what we have in store. My biggest complaint is that once you've died, you are directly teleported to the top without any previews, buffers or iframes, and such, it causes quite some cheap deaths where you are directly teleported onto a wall in a span of 20 seconds. Anyway, nice entry and I think you've done a great job making it! Well done!

I love the sounds and the ded screen, it really has a whimsy vibe. It reminds me of those dsiware games. Good job!

Very fun little game! It's simple, but the objective is clear and attainable. I really like the colors of the background and think the sound effects really fit. Good job!

Simple yet fun! It's the temptation to get through the little gaps that make it so addictive XD Good job and keep up the good work!!

Really satisfying to find and master a path down. Adding a leader board would be great as people would be speed running the hack out of it!

Short but cute game. Would like to see it become an endless falling game, it reminds me of downwell and I'm here for it! For a week as a solo developer, well done!

I really had fun with this. nice robotic-squeek-like sound and also the music is really fitting together with visuals and what a creative start screen! Nice idea to change bacground hue according to difficulty. Would like to get back for playing difficult level if you plan to complete it. Relly well done!

I love the concept a lot, the slow fall mechanic is fun I like being able to narrowly shave past a platform. However it was quite difficult to play until discovered this mechanic, controls for it at the start would alleviate that. A few of the routes seem much harder than the alternative to the degree where its not worth the risk to cut off the time. Overall great idea and execution!

creative idea

Submitted(+1)

Wow, that was actually fun. I didn't know you can press W to slow down at first, which made it almost impossible to complete. Made it 10x better with that mechanic.

No hard mode though 🥲

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I'm sad about hard mode too, but I ran out of inspiration for new rooms, and time was running low so I decided to finish and polish the modes that were mostly done first. I might end up updating this in the future if I can find the motivation though!

I would love to try yours but i can't open it :(

Developer

That's weird, I downloaded it myself from itch and it works just fine for me?

What happens when you try to open it?

Submitted

It won't let me run it

Submitted(+1)

Your game is not opening for some reason :(
I think there is a missing file or something like that

I sent a screen shot. did you receive it ?

Developer

have you tried redownloading it? maybe it didn't download or extract properly?

This is a pretty fun game. I like how smooth the speed gets adjusted between the fall slow/fast modes.  The visuals and audio are also a plus,  great for setting up the vibe of the game.

Also, you're right, I'm never going to cook a biscuit as good as that in hard mode.

Cool game! I like the setting with the frog falling down and I think the art is nice with fun and fitting sound effects. And hahah I tried the game on hard mode and got the surprise :P

Good gameplay loop and visuals to go with it. I would recommend telling players they can press "s" to speed up and "w" to slow down as the first two sections can feel brutal without knowing that

Developer (1 edit)

Thats fair, I put the controls on the main page but forgot to put them here too.
