I liked the visuals and the vibe a lot.
For the main gameplay, I would suggest that you get rid of the timers and let the player just trigger the next action manually? I felt that a lot of the time, I was just waiting for things to happen and it felt really frustrating, especially when you made a bad trade and I already knew I was screwed,... so just sitting there and wait was not fun. If I could just have clicked to the next action/change in the market, I could just have clicked throug a few days just to see if it got any better and I could luck out somehow.  But, with everything based on real time, I had to wait it out and instead just quit the game. Which, was a bit of a shame because I actually had fun until then.
I also did not want to start another try, because I knew I would probably just sit through the first two days and wait to see if something crashes and I could snack it up. So the waiting time really killed this game for me, sadly.

Nice UI design, very polished with retro-terminal vibes (my game also simulates a retro computer terminal kind of so I really appreciate your design). I've played a few rounds of this, and what I've found hard to do is to correlate the news with the stocks.  The news talks about pharma, tech, etc., but I can't really understand from the stock names which sector they are in, and so which news relates with which stock, so I can decide what to do. Perhaps it's me and I don't get it or don't see it but it's there. Nevertheless, really enjoyable to play, especially for a terminal nerd :)

Is it possible to make the million? The only way I was able to make money was through insider trading, and even then the highest I could manage was $110,000. I'm tempted to go back and try a new strategy, but the intro text just takes far too long.

Using a screen for the UI is neat!

This is such a neat stock trading game, I LOVE the UI and overall theme. I would add some chill background music to listen to :)

I was alive in 1992 and, while I didn't get a chance to dip into insider trading, I imagine this is what everybody would have been spending their 4 kilohertz of CPU time on before DOOM come out the following year.

Beautiful style.  Hard to read some of the smaller items, but that's how the endless time suck of UI fiddling goes on a game jam time budget. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  I might suggest to drop the default click sound as the auditory feedback can be a little confusing when you're trying to press a button and not getting the expected visual cue to go with it.  Still really liked the crunchy computer sounds.  I could almost smell the aroma of dusty, overheated computer parts.

Game play wise, I got super lucky and beat the game really quick, so I didn't get to experience some of the story beats mentioned.  To be clear, it still felt good to win capitalism.

Ohh ! This is the second stock game so far - very interesting. I had trouble reading the text in the beginning since it was too fast. Maybe just let the player continue with a mouseclick. 

I really loved the retro vibe and the narrative so far. Especially the starting screen had a nice retro vibe! 

The vibes were great on this. Im not super big on stocks knowledge but it felt intense where it needed to. Love that the screen seemed like it got fuzzier as the days progressed. I like how you wrote it, and the sound effects felt really dread-inducing

The start of the game, goes fast and was difficult to read.
I had to re run the game to get up tp speed.

Some of the gameplay I didn't understand.
Sometimes I clicked on a stock and then nothing happens.
Is this deliberate?

Not my taste of type of game.

But a Great job for a game made by just 1 person.
