How does the game fit the theme?
The objective of the game is to collect as many biscuits as you can before dying. The player is taking risks the longer they're alive as they slay increasingly difficult enemies, and they're rewarded with literal biscuits, which provide buffs but increase the player's addiction level.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Music by Kloud Solo. All other assets, code, and most SFX (and some heavily-modified free SFX) made from scratch during the jam's window of time.

I would have loved to play the game but each time I began, it crashed and gave me a fatal error so...
I'm not gonna rate the game because I couldn't experience it in the intended way.
That's completely understandable! I'm sorry to hear it wouldn't work for you!
Thank you so much for downloading and trying though!
Sick main menu! Looks and sounds good, but I didn't hear any music at all in the game. I see that it is credited, so maybe that was a bug for me. I also really liked The Baker, made me chuckle
Thank you so much! And yeah I'd seen where someone else was having that issue as well - thank you for letting me know! Making a polish update after the jam so that's super helpful to be aware of.
Thank you so much for playing :) I'll be sure to check out your submission as well!
Massive baker enemy! Just slicing and dicing was addictive gameplay by itself. Very enjoyable. Well done!
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for playing :)
I'll be sure to check your submission out as well! It actually caught my eye sometime earlier this week (the name and art look fantastic) and I meant to take a look at it so I'll check it out today!
Thanks again for playing and reviewing!
Cool game! Like the aesthetic and the weapon and enemy progression. Would be cool to see stats for each weapon, maybe have each lend to a different play style. Also, I think it would be good to lock the mouse to the game window, at least immediately after dying because my mouse goes flying onto my other screen and clicking on things, typing "wasd" all over the place haha But overall very fun, good job!
Thank you so much! Been working on a follow-up update today and the stat info is actually the first thing I added - and I love the idea of each of the weapons having unique play styles! That's also really good to know, that the cursor was falling off-screen after death - thank you for letting me know!
Thanks again for playing and for the fantastic feedback :) I'll be sure to check out your submission as well when I get the chance here shortly!
I really love the idea… If you’d like to continue working on the game I would suggest that your weapon evolves into Exalted Blade from Warframe/Excalibur
Believe it or not that's EXACTLY what I was planning with the scythes!! A friend of mine had come up with the final scythe design and proposed that it send ranged swipes forwards as you swing it. That's such a cool idea and I'd love to implement it.
This has solidified it for me haha - in the follow-up update after the jam I'll implement exactly that.
Thank you so much for playing, and for the great idea!
No problem, would love to see that in the future update ;)
the art style is amazing and the gameplay is very comfortable, it’s quite challenging but you do miss challenge in jam games so I love this. def my favorite game I rated yet. what it really misses is a leaderboard (there is some good online packages that make this easy btw)
That's a fantastic idea! I was wondering how to implement a leaderboard system without a hosting service like steam - I think I'll look into that and work on implementing one in a follow-up after the jam.
Thank you so much for playing :) I'm so thrilled to hear you enjoyed it!
I'll be sure to rate your submission as well :)
cool graphics, good music. A fun game, although short
Thank you so much for playing! I'm so happy to hear you liked the aesthetics!
And that's 100% true, I may add some additional small maps for better replayability in a follow-up after the jam :)
Thanks again!
Quite challenging but very nice to play and very straight forward. Having some slow motion triggered after a multi kill or something would, I think, be reallyyy satisfying! All that done solo, good job!
Thank you so much, and thank you for playing!
I was SO close to implementing like a slow-mo ability or something but couldn't decide how I should go about it - triggering it via multi-kills is such a great idea! I'll likely do a follow-up update after the jam with a bunch of rebalancing and adjustments, and that's absolutely something I'll include.
Thanks again!
good mechanics, good graphics and a professional look on the hud, great game
Thank you so much, and thank you for playing!! :)
Just downloaded your submission as well, testing it out here shortly!
Awesome small game, really addictive. I just whish there where a few more abilities :)
Thank you so much! And thank you so much for playing :)
Honestly that's something I was really considering, combo moves/parries/etc I would love to include. Might push out an update after the jam with some of the fun extras I wanted in there haha
Anyways, thanks again!
minecraft steve
Thanks for playing man!! Really appreciated the advice and feedback too!

Love the way this game looks!
Thank you so much! And thank you for playing :)
Really cool game! I would've liked more attack speed to be able to keep slashing those enemies but it was pretty challenging and fun, great work!
Thank you so much for playing! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
I considered making it so that your attack speed was buffed with each biscuit consumed as well, so that's good to know!
Thanks again :)
Wow, that was pretty good! The visuals looked quite polished and the gameplay was fun and exciting> Would be great to see an expansion with more level variety!
Thank you so much! And thank you so much for playing :)
I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed it, I’d definitely love to add some new levels!
I’ll be sure to check out your submission as well!
Extremely fun game! Probably the best game I've played in the jam! The sound effects were great, so was the music, and the visuals! Well done!
Thank you so much! I'm so incredibly happy to hear that :)
Thank you so much for playing!
you can't convince me this was done by one person in a week! this is overkill! jokes aside, the aesthetic is great and the combat feels nice!
Haha thank you so much!!
I'm so happy you enjoyed it :) It's the first time I've ever tried an interesting, niche aesthetic like this so I'm so happy you like it! The combat feel was a major focus of mine because it's a big part of what I typically enjoy, so I'm ecstatic you felt the same way :)
Thank you so much for playing! I had a blast playing your submission as well
I have No words........This Game is By Far.....THE BEST GAME HERE IN THIS JAM, If it weren't for Being a download only game because of Unreal this would be on top. Its a Shame people wont try something just because its downloadable. but then again it is pretty risky because there are lot of bad actors here on the platform. WE NEED THIS GAME ON STEAM STAT. I watched the trailer before playing the game itself and it is perfect, The Player movement is incredibly smooth and responsive and has plenty of controls for a Jam game and the Graphics are Fantastic, love the art style :D (Chef's kiss 🤌) Don't give up on this game, it plenty of potential and keep updating it. All the best to you my fellow developer. Rated 10/10 (wish i could give more :D)
Thank you so so much!!! I cannot express how much this means to me! I put a ton of effort in and it makes me so incredibly happy you saw that and enjoyed the gameplay! I'm a huge fan of smooth player controllers and responsive movement so I'm ecstatic you enjoyed that aspect as much as I do!
I'd absolutely love to turn this into something more (some friends of mine wanted to try this in multiplayer, which I think would be a blast haha so we'll see)
Anyways, this made my entire day :) thank you so so much!
Oh yeah multiplayer would take this game up a notch, Glad it made your day. Its an amazing game. And once again seriously we gamers need the game on steam, there's not enough games like this these days. Be sure to comment and rate my submission as well :D
The feeling of combat is really nice, the UI for the menu is well polished.
Nice job I replayed it many times it was fun to play
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I put a ton of effort into the player controller and making the UI look nice so I really appreciate that!
This game needs more reviews right now! It was so fun and cool, I loved the movement and the fighting style, as well as getting to the baker! I would recommend investing in a soundtrack, even if it's a free one online because I really wanted it to feel like the trailer, but when I played it it was silent, and despite it being fun, it seemed like something was missing. Even then this is getting a high review, keep it up!!
Thank you so so much!! That makes me so happy to hear!
The music should be the same as the trailer - try checking the settings out, there should be a music option with a slider. It may have glitched a bit, so it's good to know it wasn't working automatically!
Thanks again! :) I'll be sure to check out your submission as well!
i love the hack and slash games so much, that one was really well done and i love the progression system to get more weapons i just don't know if they are just skins or they have more dmg in them, overall animations, game loop, progression and cheif dropping cookies is a smart one, Great job!
Thank you so much for playing!! I was actually considering adding info on the bonuses from each weapon but it was right at the edge of deadline haha, generally each weapon is better as you continue up, and some have greater reach, damage, swing rate, etc.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I also love the hack and slash style so that's exactly what I was going for - I'm so glad you felt the same!
