Super cool game!! Loved the visuals, really addictive and fast paced gameplay (at least how I played it) and very unique concept. Well done!

Thank you! Well, overall, the game was intended to be a slow, turn-based strategy game, but due to the incorrect balance, you eventually start speedrunning it :)

Oohh that's interesting to learn, I'll try slowing down just to see if the experience changes! C: Idk why my first instict was I gotta go fast xD

Developer

That's fine, I started doing the same thing over time :)

Excellent scope and execution of the theme. The visuals and audio match up perfectly and the pacing is great! I wouldn't change much except a tutorial and some challenges =]

Simple and straightforward game play! See our game, too, if you can - https://datfrozencube.itch.io/risk-it-raccoon

Calculated risk for the most optimal munching build. I really like how simple but polished the gameplay loop is!

Great job! I like the drawings, and that your path will decide your destiny in the game :D

Definitely a lot of complexity baked in here, nice job! I liked the take on the theme, as every decision was a risk and the biscuits added even more layers (no pun intended). Definitely the kind of game one could spend a while just clicking through and getting better at. Well done!

He-he, thank you!

Neat idea, I felt like it was just a little too tough to really get into. I also was confused why right clicking identical cookies after eating one wouldn’t reveal the other ? are they all unique? how could you hope to win then? I’m guessing they aren’t, but it really felt like the way to win was to reroll a bunch until I happened to get a setup that was good, and even then I have no idea what that would look like.

It’s a fun concept though I think! Just 3 hunger? feels so extremely limiting.

Developer

Thank you! Basically the concept is that you need to guess which part is correct by accidentally getting a positive effect. The effects are arranged sequentially, first "coating", then "base", then "filling". That is, if you ate a cookie with chocolate chips and the first effect was positive, and the rest were negative, then you need to look for cookies with the same coating, but different base and filling. This game is initially about noticing and remembering, but in theory yes, it would be possible to reveal certain effects in the description after you have already eaten cookies with components of this type. Regarding hunger, it can be increased up to 5 by eating one of the fruits

Pretty nice! The music and visuals are nice, and the concept is cool. I had to take notes to guess which cookie was the right one, and I think I came very close. Unfortunately I kept dying, either because I wasn't paying attention to effects or simply because of bad luck. Overall I enjoyed it, and if there wasn't so many other jam entries to try, I would've kept trying!

Very nice game , I think it would be a bit better if it was a little easier but overall really fun

It's a nice game! It's pretty hard but I liked it. I really liked the visuals.

I liked the game. It's quite hard, but still really enjoyable.

Such a great idea! Very easy to pick up, yet has plenty of depth! All designs are on the theme! I really spend a lot of time playing this!

This is a truly unique loop, and a difficult game at that. There's a lot to learn through gameplay and it took me several tries to actually be able to lock in the correct cookie. I would've loved just a small visual reminder on what I just ate during the stats pop up. Overall, I really enjoy this one. Kudos!

Developer

Thank you! Yes, a visual reminder would be a great feature, but this also has its advantages, while playing I unlocked the brain's ability to remember what happened a few seconds ago, which I hadn't paid attention to :D
Thanks for finishing the game, I thought I made the mechanics too complicated for someone to get into it and finish it

Submitted

This was really cool!  I liked the game feel, it just was really fun to gobble stuff up (even if it poisoned you lol).  Then finding combos or synergies, like bonus heal or something to cure your parasite, was also very engaging. Well done!

Developer

Thank you! It's nice to see someone delving into your game and looking for different mechanics there

Very unique and polished! Everything looked and felt great! My only complaint is that I have to close the meny every time after eating something to stop it from blocking my view which gets a bit annoying but it's nothing major. You could maybe have the information in a little notification in the corner or something.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I knew about this problem, but for some reason it didn't occur to me how to fix it, I was afraid that people wouldn't notice the message if it wasn't centered

This is such an interesting game!I hope next family gathering less people bring food filled with poison and parasites

I really love the "you move three times without eating and die of starvation" mechanic. It really cracked me up!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Ha-ha, the guy may not have the best family, but at least they are generous enough to set an endless table :)

Submitted(+1)

That is true. I shouldn't be so ungrateful!

Submitted

This was quite a fun puzzle, although it took me a while to understand the mechanics, didn't realise for ages that right clicking the food revealed their stats.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, some mechanics are a bit difficult to understand, it would be better if there was time to create a full-fledged tutorial, I just wrote this information in the text at the beginning of the game.

very polished game

Developer

Thank you!

This game is really nice, really well polished, The mechanics are a bit hard to grasp at first, but the fact that you can see food effects with the mouse really helps with that. Great Work! the aesthetic and theme is really nice, but i don't really feel a great "Risk".

Developer

Thank you! Regarding risk, the original idea I was aiming for was that much of the food you eat has a random effect that can be either positive or negative. For example, there is even food that kills you with a 5% chance, but in contrast, it provides a full heal otherwise. I'm not sure if I managed to fully implement this idea.
