How does the game fit the theme?
Power ups and upgrades come with associated risks.
The main risk, however, is that you cannot see your score and must decide at the end of each stage whether you will take an upgrade and RISK losing your score OR quit and see if your score makes the board!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Font - Mana Seed font by Siliel The Shaper
Main menu music - Phillip Miller
Main game music - ZomBCool
UI Sounds - Little Robot Sound Factory
Some of the sprites are from games I had made in the past

Great idea and implementation! Love the leaderboard risk aspect. Cool minimalistic visuals and sfx, greeat job!
Fun game, I managed to get in the Leaderboard, I think you made a game that fits the theme really well, the fact that I can't see my current progress is a thing that helps in the risky feel, the skills also are worth, my favourite is Bark.
Very cool idea to not show the score, and then having to decide between continuing or cashing in your score. Some feedback I have would be that:
- Some items' effects weren't entirely clear to me
- I feel like the game would've gained a ton by having a bit more polish like the difficulty scaling a bit better, some effects, ect.
- Some more player feedback
However, besides those things, I actually really like the idea, and the fact that there's upgrades and stuff like that, also loved the fact that you have a leaderboard, that's super cool!
Ha, interesting concept of collecting the "enemies" instead of avoiding them. Cool upgrades and great risk-reward mechanics :).
Oh no I played it a little too risky here. I was the best and fastest boy until I was tragically overwhelmed
Fun game play and great take on the theme!
Haha awesome! Thanks for taking the time, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I've enjoyed the game! The dog is so hilarious, instant love, and those bats are trying to still from him!
Few notes:
Hey thanks for playing and taking the time to give feedback.
All the abilities are auto activating ("Bark" requires aiming the mouse), the icons in the bottom left are just meant to let you know which ones you've chosen.
You're probably not dumb, it's on me for not making the instructions clear enough or the mechanics intuitive enough. Your feedback will help guide my future game design decisions!
You are welcome!
What confused me about those icons is that they have a press effect, so I thought that I can interact with them. I guess that simply removing the press effect would fix this issue.
ahhh yeah that makes sense!
Difficulty curve is a little bit too steep but other than that very fun game.
Admittedly it does ramp up pretty hard out of nowhere haha. Given more time I would have liked to shallow the difficulty curve with a variety of enemies. Thanks for playing and reviewing!
Excellent game! The difficulty is graded very nicely. It really sneaks up on you. I felt like I was lulled into a false sense of security and was almost totally overwhelmed. I found myself praying for the round to end and when I was given the option to bail I took it. Really well made, and the controls are nice and responsive.
This is exactly the gameplay I was hoping for. I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for taking the time to play and review!
nice game
Cutesie little game! Enjoyed seeing Dottsie around, but does higher rank Dottsie improve her?
Ahh yes sorry I should have made that more apparent, higher ranks make her move around faster so she has higher chances of collisions with the bat dogs! Thank for playing and reviewing :D
At the start it felt really slow but quickly it begins to become really challenging and with a good adrenaline rush!
Good roguelike game, keep it up ! :)
Ty im glad you enjoyed it!
Its a fun little game, it got quite difficult though. Graphics could be better but for a jam, still great job releasing it! I really liked the risk mechanic.
Ty!
fun game
ty!
Very addictive and fun game! I like the theme with the dogs at the park and the risk aspect was well implemented. I really enjoyed it, well done!
ty vm!
Had fun playing this. Difficulty seemed to ramp up pretty quick at some point. Was interesting how gaining the bark upgrade turned it from a chasing game into a shooting game. Good job!
Thank you! Nice job on your game, I left a rating :)
Very cool entry, reminiscent of a Vampire Survivors style but with an interesting reverse take. With a little more time, enemy and power variability can make for a very fun and addictive full game. Congrats!
"reverse vampire survivors" is exactly what I was going for you nailed it :D Thanks for taking the time to play and review. I will check your out now
This is a lot of fun, quite addictive. I love the risk mechanic and the dog biscuits. Having to submit your score is risk getting zero is clever and makes we want to set the high score! :D
Thanks for playing and getting a high score ;D
I liked the progression system. I can see how it could escalate into a really hard game, so the competition for highest score could be meaningful. It would be interesting to give the player dilemmas by having some extra points for something far away and they have to choose between chasing a bat and getting those points. Clean simple controls and a clear. Solid game.
I actually considered a similar mechanic to what you described and completely forgot about it! Thanks for playing and taking the time to review, will check yours out now.

i've really enjoyed this one, and i love how you implemented it into the theme the thing is the dog poop mechanic i think it would be more fun if there is a button to poop from ( im not saying current one is bad it's just my opinion ) 8/10 for me, keep up the great work! ❤️👌
Yeah having the "Enrichment" as an activated skill might have been a bit better considering it can block your path, good feedback thank you. I'll check out your game!
