A really good game that forces the player to wisely use resourced. I found the enemies to be very difficult but maybe I just need to get good. The art is stunning and great choice in picking audio!

Quite an interesting concept to focus on single-use items. Nice looking pixel art. I suggest making the attack range larger or slow the monster down a bit though.

Also, encountering the enemy for the first time jump scares me xD. It was like 10 peaceful rooms with calming bgm, then suddenly a loud dashing monster appears lol.

I cant find my way around anywhere i physically am stuck

Developer

Sorry, but do you mean you can't move at all? The rooms didn't generate? I haven't really encountered any major bugs so I am curious.

the rooms didnt generate i could move

Developer

Yea, I think this comes from when the user gets a lag spike at the beginning of the map generation, and it kind of messes things up. I tried fixing it but I couldn't quite figure it out. If the player reloads it would probably work :(

I ate this biscuit! Very good game

OMG this needs more ratings! Such nice pixel art, the fight system with the sound + parry is a great idea. Well done!

Nicely implemented minimal pixel art. Good sound seamlessly accompanying the gameplay.

As for the gameplay, even I went through the tutorial it was hard for me to get the basics later in the game. Before every room I had to choose some potions, most of times I had none of them, but as the screen continues appearing I thought that I missing something. If I do understand it right, you are getting those potions from the chests, but I think the screen with potion selection should be displayed in case there is nothing to select.

Battles felt too hard, the enemies are dodging like a ninja and it’s almost impossible to hit them. The only good strategy I found, and I assume that this is an exploit is to get right next to the wall so sometimes the enemy teleport next to you and you can hit him.

Well thought dungeon crawler game.

Some feedback I would give is the color schemes for texts and background might need a little contrast, I can't read most of the words without squinting much. Enemies are also too hard unless you have the invulnerable items, and that makes it a little too reliant on rng.

Very nice job for this jam's attempt, love it

Really beautiful game !!! Nice work

i liked this a lot! great work!

Submitted(+1)

I liked it a lot, so much that I tried it until I finally beat it!

The RNG is sometimes strange though, I think on my last attempt the first three worlds were void of enemies.

So, I skipped the tutorial and slightly wish I hadn't. It wasn't clear to me that items had to be collected first, or my attack was actually a parry. But the game is forgiving enough that I had time to piece all that together. I love the concept, the art, and the sound design. I would personally like to see items that are a little more impactful. Like maybe "clear the next room of enemies". Which is a bit of a gamble unless you use the fog one first. But, overall a fantastic jam game, mate.

Very interesting idea for the theme. It feels like a cool spin on a more typical shooter dungeon crawler, where you can now prepare for a room in advance. I found the item system a bit confusing at first. I wasn't sure what to do with it. The parry was neat; I took a few hits when I was surprised and attacked, but then got the hang of the parry.

The environment looks quite nice. Very relaxed and calming feeling. Which, honestly, made the creepy enemy even appearance even more of a jumpscare.

To be honest, the first enemy that appeared scared me! Because I hadn’t encountered any enemies for a long time before that, and it moved really fast. But after that, this is a cool game and I like the game page, pretty clean!

Submitted(+1)

Loved this a lot and was fully invested the whole time I was playing it. I see this becoming a full game with more variety! Totally amazing and I loved the ending animation hahaha.

It felt really slow. I went through the first two levels without encountering any enemies and died almost immediately when I did find one.

The game is beautiful though

Developer

Yea, I was trying to make it so that the beginning was a great time to farm resources, and so when the enemy spawn rate is higher and chest rate is lower later on, the player would have to use their items a lot more carefully.

Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Charming little game with art and music perfectly matching those cloudy vibes. The white font was a tad tricky to read, but otherwise impressive work making all those systems in a week!

Nice complete game. I always love a parry mechanic and the concept was interesting. Could have used a little more contrast on the ui visuals, felt a little light on light. It also felt like the difficulty could have ramped faster. Nice work!

Submitted(+1)

Nice game feels very complete, I really liked the artwork. The only problem i had was that it's next to impossible to read the white writing on a white background, but other than that nice work :)

Well done game. Clear goals and easy to understand gameplay. I wish there was more than one enemy type to challenge me in later levels and mix it up a bit. I had fun beating it

Developer(+1)

That was actually on my todo list, but I always had bigger priorities. Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

This was really well done! Had a lot of fun with it, nearly beat the last level.
