How does the game fit the theme?
It is a biscuit themed rogue-like. We wanted to have a fun biscuit themed style that also made the player have to take risks by choosing easier or harder paths.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All from scratch as far as i know, possibly some of the sfx were made previously
How many people worked on the game?5

I'm so impressed with how much you did in such a little time! the visual style is great and especially the music is awesome great composition, retro and got me nostalgic!
proper fun, excellent game, every time I found a new thing I was like ooooohh what does this do? which is (I feel) exactly what you want from a rogue like
Wonderfull I'm happy you experienced such feelings, I didn't wanted to make the cards feel the same. Thanks for playing!
The art looks lovely simple and colorful. I beaten it easily but there is 3 routes to take so you have time to have fun. The sounds and music are also good retro.
Thanks for playing, I made the game easy for new players who aren't familiar with roguelikes deckbuilders and cause it's a jam. I didn't expect players to grind this game for hours.
i LOVED this game! I love the little cards and the map system, its just such a good time man. Congratulations. Imma go play some more now >:D
Thanks for this, such a lovely thing to hear!! I'm happy you enjoyed the game more than ever!!
Probably the best game I've ever played on itch (:
This is so well made. The gameplay is super fun. I did not understand it at first, but at the second fight it made perfectly sense. One bug i found is the music stops after any song is finished. And I found it confusing that the "Biscuit Cutter" is worse than four of "Crumble Strike".
The art, music and UI works so well together. I love the cookie theme throughout the game. The cover image is really good too. Good job, all of you!
Thanks for playing the game and the feedback. Yea I also found out at the end it wasn't loopable the music (my bad), if the Biscuit Cutter was even stronger you could just one shot enemies xD (right now you also can do that almost).
I'm glad you liked all the other stuff tho and our idea for it!
Crushed the boss twice with upgraded biscuit cutters, then thought I’d challenge for a high score. Beat it with 184 cookies, I wonder if it’s possible to get much higher? Spent nothing, and didn’t go to the shop so I had one extra fight…
It’s definitely too easy, and drawing only one every turn kinda hurts the possible pacing. it would’ve been nice to know what damage was incoming and stuff, but that’s okay. Still compelled enough to do three playthroughs! I’ll admit I barley noticed any sfx, and it didn’t seem like I could ever click to view my deck? Music was banging though, solid amount of composing for a week!
Overall a really nice game jam game, very well done! Something y’all should be proud of :)
Thanks for playing and this big amount of feedback. I can tell someone had almost like 300 biscuits by only beating enemies and 1 reward (But somehow the game glitched and gave him better cards). I made the game bit too easy for newcomers mostly for this jam, so players didn't have to spend hours on the game.
Yea there isn't much sfx cause we didn't had enough time to implement it (It's in our folders just waiting to be used).
Ahhh that’s how jams always go for me, more content made than time to implement it!
Very nice little RPG with stunning graphics! The mana mechanic was really well balanced and offered an enjoyable challenge.
Keep up the good work!
I'm glad you had a wonderful experience! Thanks for playing!
Loved the spin on a slay-the-spire like! Would love to see a full food themed game in thi style!
Maybe someday I will create a food roguelike deck building game. I had much fun making this and the art to!
Well made StS-like game. Great art all around. The tough fights required some interesting decision-making.
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it!
As a huge card game fan, I loved this a lot. All of the cards felt good to play (maybe too good?). I do think the enemies sort of all feel the same, just with different health and damage amounts.
Here's a vod of me playing your game. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for playing the game and giving feedback. Yea some cards def are way too good.
The enemies are indeed all the same just different stats, if we had more time in the jam like an extra week we could have made different enemy behavior.
Great little roguelike deckbuilder with a fun map system. The protagonist is adorable and the card fit the theme of the setting nicely!
Thanks, it was fun making the game aswel. It's a cute biscuit merchant on a biscuit cart selling biscuits. Come to think of it it's selling itself !!!!
Damn, I really loved the game. I imagine the team hasn't slept this week because I think it's a very well-made game. It's well-finished, every mechanic, visual, and everything is well-made, and the game feels good enough to be replayed until you're tired. Very good job
Thanks I'm so happy you really enjoyed the game. Yea some of our members took a hole night coding but glad we had schedules so we could just replace one another if it's too hard or tiring.
A neat short game! First attempt i died without interesting cards, glad i tried again, second game was much more interesting.
The art looks very clean, and the music fit really well. Bonus points for being i think the first game without bugs or UI issues I have come across! :D
Thanks for playing, glad you still tried it a 2nd time!! Yea we had lot of tears in making the game bug free xD!!
Enjoyable little game! I didn't get the rouge-like element as much as I did the deck-builder/tactical game element, but I like that! I didn't end up dying, and it wasn't too hard either (especially from what cards I got, it was a bit too easy), but It was quite fun!
After reading some of the replies to others, the middle path is the hard one, I hear. I probably should've gone for that one!
Thanks for playing, I got your point. We didn't invest too much time into the tactical side of it. I balanced the game to be quite easy for roguelike pros but perfect enough for newbies I think/hope.
Glad you had fun!
Very nice little deck builder.
Completely bug free and well fleshed out.
Great Work!
Super happy to hear you didn't find any bugs!! We did our best to make it bug free! Thanks again!!
Looks like a lot of work went into this.
Lot of sweat and tears in the end yes xD!
That's such an impressive amount of work for a jam entry, especially for first-timers. Really well done! I loved the ragtime soundtrack. I went for the path on top just to be a contrarian. My upgraded cutter just killed the whole boss gang >:)
Here's my score:
Ohh going big route, you know if you want to play real hard take the middle, there is a bear which also is big to defeat (if you don't have biscuit cutters).
Yea, biscuit cutters are op and def when upgraded. But hey, well done on achieving such many biscuits (You always can get more if you didn't buy so many cards) ;)
