How does the game fit the theme?
Zeninja embodies the theme of Risk it for the Biscuit by constantly forcing the player to choose between safety and danger. Each time the farmer is sent into the fields, his harvest becomes more valuable the longer they remain, but the risk grows as enemy ninjas close in with increasing intensity. Calling the farmer back early ensures his safety but limits the potential score, while leaving him exposed raises the stakes, offering massive rewards at the cost of possibly losing everything in a single mistake. The game thrives on this tension, creating a delicate balance between patience and daring, and challenging the player to decide whether to protect his Zen or gamble it all for a chance to win big!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We made everything from scratch (besides some royalty free sounds) !

Great game to entertain your self while committing to the job or waiting for your turn in a queue!
Visual and sound effects are top notch!
Really cool and fun game. Love the art-style. I did find an exploit: while you are in aiming mode time still progresses as normal so you can effectively stall out all the ninjas while you farmer is doing his job. But other than that a really cool game.
Thank you so much for playing our game and giving feedbacks!
About the exploit, on one hand it's true that you can stall the enemies while in slow motion mode, but notice that the farmer is also in slow motion, meaning he will farm way less crops, which is the main source of score income. So overall there is a "punishment" for abusing the slow down mechanic.
Easy to get the hang of, the gameplay is super satisfying!! and the graphics are great !
Really well executed game, reminds me a lot of old school smartphone games!
Banger soundtrack, would have liked to target with the mouse, otherwise very fun! Defeating enemies was juicy!
Quiet funny, for some reason reminds of fruit ninja in a good way, but I don't seem to understand why
Your mission is clear: protect your as he gather crops
Yes, I shall protect my.. Huh.. Wha? (I am assuming I am supposed to protect my farmer :P)
This was fun! On the first play I did not notice the arrow indicated the direction. My second play, I was able to defeat many ninjas but completely forgot the farmer was supposed to plant crops.

An awesome feature you can add are combos—the more ninjas you hit before you lose momentum, the higher the score. You can add some visual cues for the combos, too!
I was so proud of myself when I (accidentally, not skillfully) hit four enemies in one go. Not so proud when I completely forgot about the farmer.. But hey! I DID protect him in the end, didn't I?
LOL I love this comment, thank you so much for playing - it means the world. Glad you noticed the arrow on the second run and congrats on that four-enemy hit (we’ll count that as pure skill, don’t worry). Combos with visual cues is such a cool idea - we’ll definitely keep that in mind for future updates. And yes, protecting the farmer in the end is what really counts :)
I love the graphics! The animations also feel very satisfying, I could def play this for quite a bit. Great job!
Really fun game, stunning graphics. Good job!*
Would you like to try my game also? :)
Really satisfying to play and get those kills. Bit hard sometimes when your ninja guy is on the edge of the screen, but other than that cool idea and concept for the theme. Also great art and sound too!
Wow, really fun. Playing a lot of jam games feels a bit like a chore sometimes, but not this one. Super juicy, loved the visuals and sound. Great work.
