This was an interesting game. I think it would go a long way to add sound effects for the weapons to make them feel distinct. Very cute art style.

I agree with the other feedback that has already been given, both positive and negative, but I can additionally add:

  1. It would be nice if the doors open away from you (so they don't push you)
  2. If you stand slightly around a wall/corner, the skeletons will continuously run into that wall. While they are busy running into a wall, you can easily shoot them. I guess for future development, you need some kind of navigation system for the skeletons.
  3. It is easy to run (Shift) backwards while shooting a skeleton, because the skeletons run slower forwards than you do backwards. Maybe the backwards running speed needs to be decreased?

But overall, a great starting point for a 3D dungeon crawler. And the visuals are fantastic.

Also, it fits well with the theme, considering you submitted it 10 minutes before the deadline. Very risky. :D

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback — really appreciate you taking the time!

Totally agree on the doors — I hadn’t considered how awkward that push direction could feel, but I’ll definitely look into flipping them.

Great catch on the skeleton AI, too. That wall-running bug made me laugh, but yeah, I definitely need to implement some proper pathfinding next time around. (I don’t know how to do it yet, but I’m planning to learn!)

The speed balance is another good point — I’ll experiment with tweaking the backward run speed or maybe speeding up the skeletons a bit to keep the pressure on.

And yeah… submitting with 10 minutes left was definitely a stressful life choice 😂 I actually made the two levels just before the deadline. Glad it still came together and fit the theme!

Thanks again — feedback like this really helps improve the project.

I had a fun time playing your game! The models look very good, too bad it's just three levels! A nice way you could make it better might be to add sound effects, it would really make the game more impactful.

Good work!

Thank you so much for playing the game! I'm really happy you enjoyed it. You're right—there are only three levels because I ended up making them all on the last day, so I had to work much faster than usual. I definitely want to add more levels and sound effects in the future to make it better. Thanks again for the feedback!

Wow, talk about high mouse sensitivity. Maybe reduce it or add a customizability choice.
I also I can't figure out what's different between the weapons.
Great game overall, would love to see the post-jam version.

Developer(+1)

I will absoultly add a customizability choice for the sensitivity. Maybe you can't figure difference about the weapons because the game is small, actually the DPS of all weapons are different from each other. Thanks for the feedback, i will try my best for the post-jam version.

Holy mouse sensitivity, I don’t usually get motion sickness but this came close. I wasn’t clear on what unlocked new weapons, was it just stages? It was nice feeling that sense of power progression throughout! If you keep working on this it would be cool to see where you go with this next :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I definitely need to tone down the mouse sensitivity — you're not the first to mention it (You can also slow down mouse speed for lower mouse sensitivity before the post-jam version). As for weapon unlocks, they’re tied to stages for now, but I agree it could be clearer or more interactive. I’m glad you felt the power progression! I’d love to build on this more after the jam and see where it goes.

The game is intuitive and fun. Of course it would need some more conten in terms of exploration, enemies, loot ecc. But it's a game jam so I understand you didn't have time for that. Also the mouse sensitivity is too high. Still, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for the feedback, and also thanks for understanding game jam situation. I know mouse sensitivity would be too high because it is made on laptop with high sensitivity (cause its normal for me😅) so i will fix the sensitivity problem in the updated version and add more exploration, enemies and loot too, these suggestions help a lot.

The level design is neat, and most rooms are filled with a number of props, giving the room more visual appeal. The sensitivity was exceptionally fast for my tastes. Even though there weren't any bullets visually coming out of the guns, if there were SFX for shooting guns, and SFX for when bullets hit things, it would have added a great framework for the player's imagination to fill in the blanks around.

Still, the game had a decent amount of content, especially for a 1 week.

Cool submission.

Thank you very much for the feedback on the game — I really appreciate it! I'm glad you enjoyed the level design and the overall visual style. I’m not sure how, but even though I wasted a lot of time, the game somehow turned out pretty well in the end.

I played your game too, and the SFX were amazing!

Anyway, thanks again for your feedback, and also for the suggestion about the gun SFX — really helpful! ☺️
