This game is beautiful—the visuals are excellent and the music is great too, congrats on that! One thing I wish is that there was a way to befriend the other dogs. Aside from that, I really don’t have any complaints. Awesome job!

Really enjoyed the concept of throwing biscuits to distract the guards. The Art was amazing and i feel like the tsory was told great

Submitted(+1)

This game is adorable! The music adds a lot to the tension and atmosphere. This feels like a completed game that if anything could be expanded upon. Super well done I love it!

Submitted(+1)

Amazing game! The art is adorable and the music fits so well with the game, the gameplay itself is so smooth, great job everyone!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words! The gameplay could definitely be better but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This game is beautiful. Visuals are excelent, and music as well. Congrats for that. I would wish if there was a way to be friends with the other dogs, like giving biscuits to them so they do not bark anymore, but other than that I don't have any complains about your game, congrats!

Developer(+1)

Hey thank you for playing the game and providing feedback!

I think the original plan was to have the "enemy" dogs behave the way you're describing. However, in testing, we found that making it that way make the enemy dogs seem too similar to the guards (you throw biscuits at them to "stun" them), so we decided to keep the enemy dogs this way as like a static obstacle the player has to avoid/deal with.

Ah I understand that

The pixel art is super cool, the animations are clean, and the illustrations are very cute and touching, just like the story. The music is also great!

A lovely game with effective gameplay. The last level was a bit of a struggle, but well done on the work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you a lot for your kind words! As the writer and composer, it makes me really happy that the story resonates well with you and that you enjoyed the music!

Submitted

Congratulations! That's very impressive!!

Very nice UI animations, the camera feels a bit jittery but overall very nice game, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I thought the UI is nothing advanced but I'm glad you like it anyway.

The camera is indeed something that could be done better, but I ran out of time to tune it more, so I hope that didn't detract too much from the experience :).

Such a polished game! Achieving this level of completeness in such a short time is really impressive. The art and story especially stood out, and even as a non-English speaker, I felt the visuals conveyed the story and emotions beautifully. I truly enjoyed playing!

Developer

as the writer and composer, I am really happy the story resonated with you!

Super solid entry, and criminally underated so far. A fun stealth game with a sweet story and cute art. I really enjoyed it!

Only note is that I was little confused at the start of the second level, as I did not realise that "distract" meant throw it at the guard, not throw it elsewhere to make a noise, but thats pretty minor. Amazing work!

Developer(+1)

as the writer of the story, I am really happy to hear that you enjoyed the story!

Developer(+1)

Ah, you know it was indeed my intention to point out to player the fact that if you throw the cookies/biscuits at the wall, it makes noises and that can distract a guard and make them investigate it. I didn't say anything about directly throwing them at the guards, because I intended for that mechanic to be "discovered" rather than told. But it seems most players ended up just chucking the biscuits at the guards to stun them anyway haha.

Submitted(+2)

Great job, the art is amazing and I am surprised you managed to make a whole story during a game jam. For the levels, I just wish the camera was a bit zoomed out so I could know where to go and how to plan my biscuit use. Other than that, it's a nice game!

Developer

Hej, thanks a lot for your feedback! As the writer and composer, I am glad you enjoyed the story. It definately helped that the main part of the story in the CGs is somewhat independent from the game, which gave the art team a lot of room to flesh out this part. But it was definately challenging to make it consistent with the levels and connect it to the gameplay in that short time.

Submitted(+3)

Wow the artists really outdid themselves here, and having a story in a game jam is definitely a brave decision, with the amount of time you had to build out the entire game :D. Although i'm not quite sure what was the intended style of play in this game, it seems to be going for stealth game mechanics, but the best strategy I've found, is throwing a bunch of cookies in front of my path and just picking them up and chucking them at the guards, because the camera zoom was a bit too zoomed in to properly plan out my moves.

Developer

Thank you for checking out the game! We were going for a more action-oriented kind of stealth game, but as the jam progress we lacked time to properly design the levels that were appropriate for the mechanics that is presented in the game. So yeah, some levels may just feel off to play and not that fun/challenging.

But hey if you found that chucking cookies at the guards was enough fun for you, that's already a win for me :D

Developer

Thanks a lot for your feedback and as the composer and writer, I am really happy that you enjoyed the story. The main story is fairly independent from the main game (as it is mostly conveyed in the CGs) and that made it possible that the art team had a lot of freedom to flesh out this part of the story and push the narrative here.  The harder part was to anchor it in the levels and regular gameplay and this was for sure a real challenge with the short time and the chaotic nature of the game jam.

Really cute story and art. I love it. Very good attempt at a stealth game in such a short time. Good Job. 🤗

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! It was definitely a challenge to get this out for the jam duration.

Developer(+1)

I am really happy to hear you enjoyed the story! As the writer, I am glad the story resonated with you!

Submitted(+3)

Really neat art, but the levels themselves still need work. I commend you for trying a stealth game in such a short time.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah the levels are one of the last things to be put in and as you can see they are not very well designed for the existing mechanics. I did underestimate how time-consuming it was to make multiple stealth mechanics in such a short time.

Submitted(+2)

A super cute game, I loved the visuals and the ost really ties the whole thing together! The interactions between the player character and Biscuit are uber-adorable too, I really missed the stealth game genre as a whole! Great job making such a fun game within only 7 days :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for enjoying it My regret is that we didn't make anything new or innovative on the stealth mechanics, but then again it was hard enough to just implement the basic stuffs into the game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for enjoying the game! I did the story and the music, so I am very happy that the connection between those two really resonated with you!

Submitted(+2)

The artwork and story was lovely, so well drawn and crafted story, fun game mechanics too, always love a stealth puzzle style game

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I actually had planned to sort of make it more action-based but with the amount of mechanics that I was able to implement within the time frame it turned out to be more of a puzzle designs with the levels. But I'm glad it worked out anyway.

Developer(+1)

Thank you a lot. As the writer, I am super happy you enjoyed the story!

Submitted(+2)

Awesome, I missed stealth games like this from way back. The art is super cute and I was so heartbroken with Madeleine I wanted to get Biscuit back at all costs. Character looks great, I loved how the theme was intertwined with the game. Great work all around.

Developer

Thank you! Really appreciate your feedback and your time spending playing the game. The stealth mechanics can still be more polished for sure but that's already more than I could make in the jam XD

Developer

Hey, thank you for your feedback! I am super happy the story resonated with you. When writing the story, I really hoped it would emotionally resonate with the player and just be more than a set piece, but a driving force for the player. So I am glad I could provide this experience for you!

Submitted(+2)

Great work! I liked the stealth mechanics and I haven't played anything with such a cohesive story in this jam yet!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! I spent a lot of time of the stealth mechanics but it's not perfect by any means.

Submitted(+1)

I think they came out great! Never coded any AI for stealth, only for other things. So I have no idea how I would even start approaching something like this. It definitely impressed me!

Developer

Thank you! As the writer, I am supper happy you found the story cohesive, since this is really, really hard with a jam game in such a short time and with the limitations that come with making it!

Submitted(+2)

Wow really well made! Very polished, looks, audio and feel is great. Would've prefered to pickup items with a key, but that's just me.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yeah it makes sense, in my early testing I made it so that there are multiple items in your vicinity you can choose to pick what you want with the mouse, so I kept it in the final build, but the actual gameplay doesn't use too much of that functionality.

Submitted(+2)

I must risk it to save Biscuit by using...biscuits. I'm hungry for some biscuits now. Very cute opening sequence.

Developer

Haha thank you. I think the team wanted to write about that Biscuit the dog was named so because his favorite treat was biscuits. But I think that didn't make it to the final game.

I'm glad you have enjoyed the game :)

Cute game

Thanks!
