Pretty design
For a week's work this is impressive. The visuals are amazing and the card system feels very extensive. I had a hard time understanding how the game works but once I got it I had fun with it. Well done!
Interesting mix of genres, but the card battle mechanics are obscure. I didn't know what that meant or what I was doing. Love the interface and art direction, very clean and clear, but missing some tooltips on the battle system though.
All in all, a pretty cool game! Amazing visuals and sfx were on point as well. I will say that it is a bit confusing. I understood the poker part, but the attack/defense mechanics were a bit difficult to wrap my head around. I think the game could benefit from having a tutorial. Still, this is super cool for a game jam game! The emote function added a lot of personality to the npcs and reminded me of when I used to play Mahjong Soul.
addicting game, only issue is the game got stuck and no one could do anything but still peak gameplay
pretty complex game! i love that there is emojis available as well.
Btw i think there is a bug where the card seems to animate halfway and i cant see anything on the cards
I don't really know how to play poker, but I can see that this is a very polished game. Loved all the visuals and extra features in it, like the emojis. The music was super relaxing, and I felt it really fit. I also like how the other “players” seem to have their own personalities. Good job!!
Overall super polished! the UI & visual effects are top-tier, way beyond what I would expect from a game jam entry. Well done!
cleverly designed, I really liked it.
Interesting idea, visuals and audio are REALLY good and fit nice.
Good luck in game jam :D
So.. I don’t know how to play poker lol, but this game is very wellmade, the music is nice, the sfx is nice, the art is nice, everything just feels right, it’s pretty comfortable to play and it feels risky so goodjob!
Wow, ive seen a couple games with a similar ish concept, but this is by far my fav, while there is a lot to keep track of, after a bit of time the game becomes so interesting, and stressful. The art is also beautiful.
Great job, i’m so excited to see this game expanded… I would buy it!
Implementing the game logic, and corresponding visuals, must have been really complicated. There is so much to keep track of. I'm very impressed.
The sound effects and music fit perfectly with the casino atmosphere.
And all the novel graphics makes for a very unique game.
My main gripe is that it is so sloooow. All animations are super slow. And why do we have to wait for each player to assign attack cards, when we could all be doing it at the same time? If you have played poker online recently, you will see how fast everything is. The modern mind loses patience very fast. At the very least include something to speed it all up. :)
But overall this is one of my highest rated games this jam because you've set the bar high and delivered on all fronts. Impressive stuff.
Great project. A lot of effort went into different areas of the game and it shows! Well done!
A tutorial at the start could help though or be more specific. I understand the basic rules of poker but the attack mechanic I didn't quite get.
It took me a bit to understand because I don't play poker, but once I figured it out it seems pretty cool. But holy cow, the art is awesome! It's crazy how many different sprites were finished in only a week. And the animations for everything are nicely polished as well. The sound design is also pretty good.
I love the art and the funny emojis. Good job!
Cool and unique concept with some really nice execution. The visuals are stunning and the emotes are hilarious. Bot AI is also pretty good.
The game is very, very good. How did you manage to finish this in 7 days?! 0 -0
SUPER POLISHED, FUNNY EMOJI, GOOD UI, SUPER CREATIVE!!!
Really polished and it surely has a specific creative direction, which is amazing for a game jam project with a team of this size (it's not easy to coordinate so many people)
Premise: I love card games so I'm the target and I know poker rules either (I'm currently developing a game called Poker Monsters maybe you could like it, it's here on Itch)
I have to say that I don't enjoy this game as much as I was supposed because I find the twist not so intriguing, you basically add another win/lose condition to poker without designing enough around it and the feeling was to play two different games forced to stay together.
I think it would be a lot more interesting seeing other players attack/defense cards because allow you to strategize on the classic Poker part of the game.
Except for the game design it feels like a complete game thanks to its polishing level so well done!
And ... If you want to try mine let me know what you think
I love the art style of the cards! I’ve never seen this type of poker before, but the rules are really easy to understand. Even though I lost all my chips in Round 5, I still had a lot of fun with it!
