You return to the park of your childhood, 10 years after the disappearance of someone you loved deeply. You were the last to see her—alone on the seesaw—before she vanished without a trace. “Seesaw” presents an ostinato that evokes the character’s feelings about the past, an unresolved memory.
Then, He appears.
A visitor dressed in clothes from another era, perhaps from another summer, perhaps from another world: "A...friend?" introduces a distinctive melody, written for him and what he represents: he is not human and seeks to draw attention. Perhaps he can help...
In “Final Thought: Good Bye.” You will never know what happened. You don’t need to know. Her memory remains with you. You sit down on the empty seat facing hers. You breathe. The night comes to an end, and for the first time, everything is alright.

Composed for a string quartet from the beginning in one night. I was inspired by the art of games like Edith Finch, Little Nightmares and Ethan Carter.

The somberness of the strings reminds me of the violin-heavy track on the original 1978 BBC version of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy with Alec Guinness it's right in that zone.

This was a really interesting take on the theme. The limitation to string quartet is a bold, but effective choice that worked off really well for you and showed off your composing chops, IMO. The little story bit that you gave us left a lot in the open air, in a good way. It was just enough information to give the strings room to shine and portray a wide range of emotions - a mix of tension, intrigue, desperation, loss and more, almost all at once.

The strings are all very well mixed. I wish there was more theming to go off of than just the setting of the imagined game.
I also think that one of the tracks could have gone with a faster tempo as they all feel too similar in terms of their vibes making it feel incomplete as an ost.
I love the name, the story, the open-ended ending, and how everything is very abstract (which is a really good idea for game jams, in my humble opinion). The choice to limit yourself to just a string quartet was genius, and it allows for the story to be expressed dramatically but not over-dramatically (and I also just love string quartets, 'cause who doesn't?).
I would love to hear this live - because the midi strings definitely don't do the music justice - but I'm very impressed and satisfied with this too!

Lovely little collection of songs. Your writing for the string quartet sounded very fluid and appealing. But sadly also a bit short 😢
Your writing sounds more then solid and created a very cool atmosphere with just so little instruments for that I only can tip my head for. Every articulation sounded very deliberate and had quite had quite an elegance to it while also creating that mystique for your story.
Certainly loved every nuance of it ans I would REALY love to hear more of this.

Pretty nice soundtrack, the minimalist approach makes this soundtrack feel pretty intimate.
I quite liked the somber mood and expressiveness of your string instruments (especially on the 2nd track), reminded me of the Rule Of Rose soundtrack a little bit, so good job overall !

I really like how tight and well put together the harmonies are. I do think the vibe changes in each track would benefit from more time to develop, though. The clarity and quality of the sound from the instruments is also really impressive! What software did you use?
