This was really fun! It felt a bit like an innovative take on Pac-Man with a free-for-all spin, and I quite enjoyed that. I liked that the sugar cookie power up was usable by the enemies too - it was uniquely stressful to see one of the other crumblers zooming across the screen towards me lol. It could be interesting to have it so the betting is more continuous than just being able to bet 100 / 200 / 300, with more incremental buffs to the enemies given along the way. In that way, once you get above 300 biscuits, you could keep betting them all and just have the enemies get a speed buff for each additional bet. Great work!
cute game, love the creative artstyle is it inspired from cookie monster hehe?, but one thing that it doesn't seem to really fit the theme as there aren't much elements of danger, great game overall tho!!
Good take to the theme! i realise i can keep going in circles to collect the "bunch of cookies" was that intended?
Very wellmade! and all of that solo? You got music art and gameplay feeling nice bro.
Happy i could also play it on android, when im available i could also try on pc to see if there is anything different.
Visuals are very satisfying and music is fitting. More powerups could be added to extend gameplay. And as huan wei said pink power up felt too overpowered: a time nerf or escape move to npcs when they see someone with it could fix i think. To overcome endless chases some deadends players could intentionally lead the npcs would be a nice extension too.
Entertaining game, well done!
edit after playing on pc: didnt appreciate 2,5d walls hard enough they look really good!!
A really good game! I liked the art, audio and the game mechanics! The leaderboard is a nice touch! The different modes integrate the risk-reward system very well.
Good work!
This is an incredibly underrated game! I like the concept and execution.
There is currently a bug, where sometimes the walls don't spawn in, and the map is just an empty box. I'm not actually sure if this is intended.
The gameplay is functional, however it could do a bit better with some extra features(like more powerups). The core gameplay is there and it's solid. however adding more variety would be awesome.
A nitpick I have is that the pink cookie power-up is way too overpowered, it's really easy to shred 2 of the 3 ghosts and start farming cookies with just one power-up use. Maybe the ghost pathfinding needs an improvement, however making the ghosts respawn after a short while could be a simple yet effective solution.
The visuals are really good, I like how the walls look somewhat 2.5d, which is really hard for an amateur like me to draw. The simple yet consistent art style is great for a game of this scope. Music in this game is also quite nice, I really liked the 8-bit music style.
The leaderboard really boosts the game a lot in my opinion, it gives the player something to work towards. I might think of implementing it in my own games.
Great game! Like I said, this is very underrated, deserves more ratings.
Nice game with a simple concept and well-suited to the theme. The leaderboard is integration is also nice to add a little competition. I'm not sure what the box of donuts (?) upgrade was for -- I initially thought it was a shield, but then I died to one of the enemies while using it.
Well done, fun little game. Only feedback I would give is make the enemy AI a bit smarter. Currently the game is too easy as enemies focus on cookies and don't run away if I chase them. Sometimes they even focus on a cookie that is behind a wall and instead of going around they get stuck on the corner until I grab the cookie myself and they get another target.
This game was a lot of fun and kudos to you for making everything from scratch by yourself!
I was very much getting cookie monster vibes from the cookie crumblers. I like to think maybe this is what he's doing with his free time outside of sesame street
I love the concept and how simple it is to play! I really like that you added a leaderboard! But sometimes the AI would get stuck on a wall and not move. Other than that, great work!
I really like that you speed up during the game, I'm guessing based on cookies. Also good job on making ALL of the assets yourself, you should be proud
Good luck in game jam :D
well made game, simple yet engaging arcade, remind me old pacman)
for me betting mechanic doesn't work, it doesn't feel like I'm risking something for the benefit, one idea that came to mind to improve it is to add debuff modifiers to the run, so I increase difficulty intentionally but with each debuff I increase potential reward, and in case of lose I can lost all of the points
Lots of fun, love a game with a leaderboard, makes the jam much more exciting :) Also liked the cake-dice walls, nice mixture for the theme
Good game, it was very addicting!
Great work, I had a lot of fun playing it
Nice game, I like the animations on the characters. Also the leaderboard was a nice touch to add to the competition. It felt like I won pretty easily every time I went for the box of cookies though
Good job, hard work, i like it so much
I don’t know how you can lose, so the wager does not seem very risky. Still had fun. The leaderboard is a nice touch.
Thanks for playing. If an enemy gets to the pink frosted cookies, it will attack and eat the player.
Cool aesthetic, I like the fuzzy monsters :)
