Pretty cool concept pairing the difficulty in predicting the balls angle off a bounce with a life system that decreases every time you bounce, it made for some interesting gameplay. The shape of a pentagon was a good use case giving you enough angles to choose from but not infinite choices. Unfortunately I found the control scheme really difficult to get used to and the overall spininess of the pentagon to be somewhat unresponsive, and was only able to reach a high score of 20. I wonder if simply using A and D keys to rotate the pentagon would have worked out better.

The sound design is excellent and every sound used pairs well with the others, the clink of the ball goes superbly with the eerie ambient music in the background. 5/5 for audio for me. The visuals are adequate and there's some nice bit of polish with the ball trail and shadows on the edge of the screen, but wasn't anything that got me super excited. Overall, I think this was a fun arcade high score experience with some of the best sound work in the jam and could be brought to the next level with some more responsive controls. Nice entry!!

Nice game but controlling the pentagon is a bit tricky.

Also please play/rate mine if you get the time.

Thanks in advance.......

Oh, wow you went with using the shape for bouncing, that's cool! If it wasn't limited to the jam shapes this could probably be such a good idea for a game to sell! Haven't seen anything like it. It's taking the pong concept and making it way way better! I really like this! đꤗI would totally build on it.

I like the concept of the game, it is very minimalist and it probably could be expanded to be even better! I like that the text is written with circles, but the actual UI panel around it is a rectangle. I'd love to see the ball get faster over time, and perhaps adjust the pentagon movement slightly because once the mouse is turned fully to the right of the pentagon it seemed to mess up the rotation of it, even if you'd release the mouse button and start from the middle with the drag again. perhaps resetting the movement after releasing would be beneficial? Unless this is already a thing and I missed something.

The sound really fits the game!

played a few times and ended up scoring 340, really enjoyed it!! the tutorial text is on a rectangle which is unfortunate but other than that it's a great use of the shapes. even though it's a minimal game i think you did a great job capturing the limited space theme. great work!!!

Got to 59 score! Really well executed game.. its a simple concept but very deep once it comes to actual gameplay and naturally lends really well to the pentagon shape because the angles are a bit weird. It really makes you think on the fly and especially once the target starts moving around! The visuals and music are minimalistic and fit the theme very well!

Great job on this overall, had fun playing :)

Oh, I love the idea! It doesn’t feel intuitive how to control the movement, but that’s the point—your brain needs to adjust and learn something new. Excellent.

Really fun game! It took me a little bit to figure out what the aim of the game was, but after that I was hooked, I think I got about 80. The sound design is super satisfying, really well done!

This was cool, it was going well until the target started moving haha. the lives resetting when touching the target was a nice idea, and kept my sanity. i think i got to around 70? i liked the bouncing noise, very satisfying. actually i didnt realise the playing space got smaller until i read what you wrote, but id think if the ball also got faster that would be a nice touch. overall, gg.
