Nice Music and good puzzle game.
But there so little thing about metroidvania aspect, so I can't give a high score on metroidvania.

Overwind haven't any usage in current map but it's not a problem, I assume you can add some if you have time, due to you have nice level design on current stage.
Just want to say, if you have time and continue this as "Metroidvania" game, it's better separate Overwind as ability.

Time Rewind mechanic is Cool, but isn't that difficult for level design of a "Metroidvania" game ? how you cook them ? I hope I can taste it.

really cool mechanic... It took me a while for it to click but it works well, I'd love to see a more complete game based on it, as I think you have the start of something that will be lots of fun if you put a bigger game behind it, possibly more of a puzzle game than Metroidvania, though again maybe that is because of the smaller size.

Not a massive fan of the AI art... I mean it looks good, but I would far prefer to see rushed programmer art than AI generated artwork, maybe I am marking the sensory score a little harshly because of it (sorry) but having read the other comments please don't let that equate to the music your daughter did, because that is a really nice job!

All in all a really nice entry that could be the start of something great.

Thank you so much for the feedback. Low sensory score is fair with regards to graphics. I'll pass on the feedback about music to my daughter.

I do want to continue this at some point, as the original plan contains enemies and a boss that requires ingenious use of the time mechanic, plus an additional tool and a proper metroidvania map. I'm doing the Godot Wild Jam this weekend so maybe after that.

First, L for using AI art; you could redraw everything, and no one would complain. Second, limited exploration in a Metroidvania game is quite counter to the point. Also, the game doesn't work correctly in full screen.

Otherwise, good work. The rewind mechanic is kind of interesting,g but needs more cooking.

Yeah, I agree on the art front. I was so tight with time that I prompted it based on some drawings my son did and just picked the first thing it spewed. Also the reason why it's so short.

Thank you for playing and for the feedback

Cute but short. I really like the time mechanic. It’s really cool that you got a boss in but I found it was safer/easier to cheese and just wait in the corner. I assume you didn’t have enough time to make overwinding have more utility? The movement restriction is really interesting.

Music was spot on.

Would have liked controller support, it’s really easy in Godot even if you don’t have one. Also, changing the window scale mode so full screen makes it bigger would be nice. It’s a bummer you didn’t have …time… for more, but that’s a feeling I know all too well, I’d definitely play more.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. The initial plan was more bosses and a lot more content to really put that time rewind and overwind abilities to work, especially in combat as it's a core metroidvania element, but I severely underestimated how long it would take to put together the maps even once I had the building blocks.

Good job spotting the cheese strat :). i found it last night while playtesting it on itch with 40 minutes to go. That gap should not have been there.

Glad you liked the music, I'll pass the feedback to my daughter :)
