Such a great time! From the juicy visuals to the explosive sounds, everything felt awesome :D

Great game! Combo sound effects and character controls were on point! Loved the little touch of the UI worm bar looking like a worm, and the CRT effect was a nice touch. Was a little bummed out I couldn't jump on the trampolines XD

Submitted(+3)

Well done! Very addictive, loved the sound effects.

Omw, well done! So cool what you all achieved in the short time frame and so fun!

Such a polished, and well made Jam Game!

I really enjoyed the additional layer on the 'eat thing, grow big' gameplay loop. Destroying objects in order to spawn worms which in turn leads to growth, rather than size being entirely dependent on you score was a great addition to the gameplay loop. It meant that I could either speed up, or slow down my progression in order to get more points. The jump also felt good, and satisfyingly destructive!

Not entirely sure how a game like this might include stakes, or some manner of threat to the player - but that avenue could be cool to explore. Overall, very fun, and had a blast playing!

Developer(+1)

haha, we wanted to add a hadeda that could gobble up your worms if you left them too long, but ran out of time in the end.  thanks for playing and your feedback :))

Time is always a struggle, but that sounds hysterical xD

Super cool and unbelievably polished for a 72h game. Very Katamari in a way :) Great pixel art btw, super super impressive!

Developer

thanks so much for playing, glad you like the art :))

I had such a great time with the gameplay! I really enjoyed the little cut scene, and destroying Earth was a lot of fun. Mole Mageden was a blast!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game! The end scene gave us all a good chuckle when we put it in 😂

This game had me chuckling baddddd ahahahah. Like woah, y'all got a bit and ran with it! Hellll yeahhh. That was fun to play, great work. Never thought creating havoc as a mole was something i needed in my life.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! We had such a blast making the game, glad to hear it's fun on the other side 😁

Holey moley, what a sinister mole! :D

I love the pixel art, the music and the smooth controls. Though I found it a bit tedious to go back and collect worms, but I understand that she needs her food to grow.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing and for your feedback! We've had a decent amount of feedback regarding returning for the worms, definitely something we'd want to change if we made any updates.

Satisfying, fun and responsive. Really great job. Only complaint is i didnt enjoy having to turn around to go pick up the worms after the destruction, felt like it took away from the fun of just smashing stuff.

Developer

thanks for playing, and very much agreed, wish we coulda done more with the worms!!

Very fun, especially in the second phase! I think the thing that makes it feel good is lots of destruction, and the tight packing of stuff in the second phase made that particularly prevalent.

Great sound design and music for this; and the controls felt pretty good, specifically on keyboard (the acceleration in movement made me swap back to keyboard after trying out the controller, since it felt kind of laggy?). Jumping was fun, but I was disappointed when I got blocked by invisible walls trying to jump over e.g. a fence just because I wasn't big enough to break it. The pixel art is lovely as always, and I enjoyed the announcer voice lines!

While playing, it did feel like there was a bit of a conflict of goals. The premise appears to be that you're trying to get worms. So, I was mostly going after worms whenever I saw them. (And because they take a bit to spawn after you destroy a thing, it meant backtracking through destroyed areas, which means I'm spending less time doing the fun thing, which is destroying stuff.) So, I grew quickly, and eventually when the game ended, and I enveloped the earth with my mole arms, I got a score for the damage I did. But I could have gotten a higher score if I'd avoided the worms and only collected them after destroying everything I could. I.e. it feels like I'm being incentivised to not do the thing that the game is about -- eating worms. But maybe I'm misunderstanding the core goal?

Anyways, great job! (Also, I liked the little poem at the start of the game description!)

Developer(+2)

eyyy thanks for the comprehensive breakdown dude! You're so right about the relationship between picking up worms and destroying stuff.
The core goal is to get a big destruction score, with the worms helping you get bigger to destroy bigger things that give a better score. In the end, we settled on the worms keeping the score multiplier alive at least, but ran out of time to go further on them. Would definitely completely overhaul how worms are collected and also look into adding something that could steal your worms (kaiju-sized hadeda anyone?) if we were to add more.

mole not care about game mechanic, mole currently munching on milky way galaxy

Loved how responsive the game was and how hard the music started going after a while!

Developer(+1)

glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing! :))

Submitted(+3)

Soooooo satisfying!!!! Moles are on my top 32 Animals at least, bonus points for that👏👏

Developer

only top 32?!?! haha thanks for playing!

Submitted(+3)

Super satisfying game! Loved playing it and watching the score grow bigger and bigger. The only thing I found a little tedious was going back through my path of destruction to collect all the worms, but it did give me time to think about what I had done xD

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing, and your feedback!

Submitted(+3)

Very nicely done...I finished it with just under 3mil score. The first scene made me take my headphones off as I wondered why the Hadedas were so close to my house!

Developer

nice score!! thanks for playing :)

Submitted(+3)

Very cool, I finished it! Really enjoyed when we zoomed out and I blew up a buncha stuff at once. Katamari vibes. Well done, I enjoyed! 👏

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! glad you enjoyed :D
