Solid entry! Didn't play it all the way to the end since this looks pretty involved and I don't have the time before the end o the jam, but congrats on having a game with so much going on!

Developer

thanks!

Submitted (1 edit)

I won’t be rating it cuz I won’t be able to play it with a mouse before the jam ends, but from what I am able to see you’ve hit it out of the park with this one!

You even got a full tutorial (didn’t play much further because it didn’t feel good with a touch pad lol)!

I think my only critique from what I experienced was that the music does get a bit monotone…

Keep on rocking dude:D

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I for sure should have started the music earlier, I kept putting it off until three hours before the jam ended. (I just played your game for the second time a few days ago and the ambience was really cool) Thanks for the feedback though!

I nabbed all my sounds off of free sound sites, which is why I could throw all that together in so little time xD I respect doing everything all properly though, kudos for that! I’d prefer doing that too but never been in a jam that had a week available for me to just make music since I’m not too good at it to do in that amound of time (or maybe too picky hahah).

This has got to be my favorite games in this jam. I legit think add a few more ablities make it into a rougelike and upload it to steam. Also make laser less busted. Ran only laser and didnt die (:

Developer

Yeah the laser wasn't well balanced with everything else but thanks so much for the nice comments! It probably won't end up on steam but some new abilities are coming post-jam for sure. Thanks so much!

Simple. Fun. Addicting. Great job!

My score: 1326

It was a bit confusing though that sometimes my attacks would one-shot a certain enemy and other times not

Developer

Glad you liked it! The enemy health is random but based around the local difficulty which increases as the round goes on. I definitely could have made the health more clear though. Thanks for the feedback!

I love this take.

Game suffers from some balancing problems, just taking lighting in and spamming it is far better than filling up my arsenal. But again I think this is such a cool take on the topic.

The game can be a little visually uninteresting and the enemies can be a little bit too easy with very rapid growth. But the animations, sfx and background music all slap. Well done

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The balancing was an issue i had came across during playtesting, but I wasn't able to really test it enough to get it very good. I'm planning on releasing a small update post-jam with a rebalance and some new weapons which should be pretty cool. Thanks for the feedback about the visuals too! I tried to basically copy the visuals from my other game possessive, but I didn't end up having enough time to add all the effects and shaders that I had made for that game. I'm really glad to get all this feedback though, thanks so much!

THIS MAN KNOW WHAT HE DOES!!!

i can't describe how fun it is for me, thank you

I really enjoyed this game and will come back to it! Reload is a lot of fun, the mechanics work great and the ability to choose your own upgrades and everything were fantastic with a great variety. Looking forward to spending more time with this one!

Developer(+1)

Great you had a good time with it! I'm working to rebalance and add a few things post-jam, so you should have a good time with it after the jam ends, Thanks!

just plain fun how did everyone make a better game than me (propably because i am an beginner) like the art even tho it is mostly just shapes but the pixel perfect rotation is cool

sorry my bad english

Submitted

i have this feeling tho bro.

Developer

I get what you mean but I've submitted to a lot of jams where I wasn't very happy with the game, at this point it's a combination of luck to think of a simple enough idea and then having practiced enough to make it.

The idea of this game was revolutionary!
I really loved it❤
you really know your stuff.

Standing in the middle like a boss, just one laser and you get infinite points.

I uploaded a picture under this message, but it’s not showing!!

Overall, if you just put the laser in the revolver, stand in the middle of the screen, and shoot as soon as you see an enemy, you can stay alive forever.

Developer(+1)

Ok, thanks for letting me know! I was trying to make the laser the most powerful, but I probably should have made it deactivate after hitting the first enemy.

I think its cool being the best but mabye having to re buy things wouldve worked good. Also yeah that seemed like it would be a good fi
