Being a bug surfing on a leaf is such a cute premise and that opening animation was a great intro! I also found the directional wind to be an interesting addition that spiced things up. Surprisingly difficult with the drift as it made input feel less immediate/precise. Great job with this!
Very well done! This felt like a full size retro game I would have played in an arcade growing up.
Only critique I can level is to have an arrow telling you to grab the leaf in the beginning.

such a beautiful game! Absolutely loved it! The cutscene, the leaf catching the updraft, sfx, the cat paw appearing only sometimes making the game more safe, but also having the apples fall making it more challenging! Love the pixel art btw. This is such a cute game! I loved the pixel art and animations, especially the small guy falling from the branch in the beginning :')
One critique I have is that the falling leaf uses the same warning icon as the apples, so when I was in my first playthrough I thought I was supposed to actually go for the apples. Other than that congrats on such a lovely entry!

Maybe a nice sound effect instead, where the music is delayed and starts kicking in when the player collects it would work!
This is so cute! The art is so simple yet very sweet, and though the mechanics were basic, it was really fun! I didn’t think I needed to be a little worm surfing on a leaf in the wind, but apparently I did! Very polished as well, cohesive and well-made.
