Thanks for all the feedback and support over the Jam voting period <3
I had lots of fun making this game, and was surprised by how much I managed to accomplish in the time, so its wonderful so many people had such fun enjoying its runtime :D
Interesting and fun game! I think the gameplay could benefit from an input cooldown on respawning though. The number of times I lost progress because I respawned while trying to dash...
funny game, reminds me alot of VVVVVV (its a wierd game name i know :D )
Very good looking and very polished! A bit challenging but i think that might be because i'm having skill issues 💀! Loved the punchy sound effects too, they made the game even more satysfying!
Very cool game! The art works great! The jump from the rings feels a bit scuffed sometimes but overall I really liked it! My only real complaint is the difficulty curve could be a little smoother because damn even the start has no chill!
Edit: Oh and it gets very busy visually near the end, especially when you die near a checkpoint and you see 10 little blobs moving around your player.
Glad you had fun and managed to get so far despite the difficulty! It's tough to balance under the time pressure and in hindsight I think I leaned a bit far into the inspiration of late-game Celeste. I really appreciate the feedback, Thanks for playing!
Rly liked the game even though i suck at platformers. Not my fav game genre but i like your take.
Glad you enjoyed it :D It means alot!
this game is cute, plays incredibly well and has satisfying progression! i enjoyed it throughout ❤️ feels illegal to play it for free!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the progression, I loved spacing the map design and mechanics out as little discoveries and rewards :p
Nice! I think I managed to get reasonably far! Some really tough sections, but I think that might be mostly due to the control scheme rather than anything else. Really fun one!
Glad you enjoyed the challenge! The level design was definitely my favourite part of making it.
This is great! I can't believe you managed to make this in Gdevelop, and in 4 DAYS! It's crazy to see how much you can accomplish in Gdevelop. There was one bug when I died for the first time, all the sound got cut off, and after I died for the second time, it came back even louder. But other than that, really good job! I also made my game with Gdevelop.
It's a great engine! I've definitely got the programming brain more than the syntax brain, so it was very fun to do something more visual.
Damn this is REALLY GOOD, all this only on 4 days, wtf XD im amazed, this is the one i have enjoyed the most so far, congratulations, its amazing.
PD: i did have a werd bug where a lots of textured where missing, so i kept seeing the gdevelop icon :B but even with that i could not stop retrying
So glad you enjoyed it! I'm surprised with how much I managed to accomplish as well.
Yeah that's a bug on GDevelops end, it randomly happens or doesn't happen on launch, presumably an issue with the web version.
Getting Animal Well vibes from this in all the right ways! Love it. The sfx and the movement, the fx all come together to make the movement feel very polished. It's just a bit too hard for me!
Thanks so much! Definitely was an inspiration :D
Oh boy, this game does make me realise I am no longer a young lad who was good at games that I still think of myself as ^^' I've experienced multiple deaths a minute
Now I do enjoy the gameplay quite a bit, I'm experiencing a bug where the second character's sprite glitches out while dashing and covers a lot of the screen, which is a little unfortunate. Not sure if that is only on my end, but ignoring that It's a fun and nostalgic experience, even if my hands are no longer really able to keep up with the inputs to beat the full game, still I think it's great if the player doesn't suffer from skill issue. Great job!
Oh? Is it a giant purple square? That's a bug with GDevelop not loading the asset when the game opens, relaunching it should fix it. Its a rare case but I can't fix it unfortunately, happens randomly to any sprite.
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it (despite the difficulty!)
Yeah giant purple square. As you said, re-launching the game did fix it. Thanks!
I had fun, but had a lot of trouble with the room with a pit above the start screen 😢
Glad you enjoyed it! The platforming is very inspired by the later half of Celeste, but I hope not too frustrating.
Fun game! I really liked the simplistic pixel art and the color choices!
Thanks so much! I wanted to keep the art restricted to 3 or 4 colours per area and it paid off :D
