Hm hm hm, very interesting of a puzzle game, simple enough on it's own but the rules quickly pile on top of each other and turn a very simple stage into something that requires a proper think. I find it very interesting that the stages are randomly generated too, so the player can't just remember one solution. Cool stuff !
Congratulations on managing to put a clicker game inside of a clicker game. But well can never go wrong with a clicker game, which is why it instantly got my attention ^^
Yeah, it's fun. It's a fun clicker RPG. I had assumed that the ability to farm the slime boss as many times as you want is an exploit so I chose not to make too many runs, but seeing how poorly my very next fight went, I guess I should have grinded more ^^
Well, I do not have much time to test jam games this year, very tight on deadlines ^^' But Even though I may not get to see majority of the game this ham, this one definetely looks like a potential winner. Can't imagine many better titles were uploaded
One only issue is the AudioPlayer isn't capped so when hundreds of goblins are defeated at the same time you get hundreds of overlapped explosion sounds and it does hurt ^^'
Genuinely a very fun game.
I wasn't able to beat it, but the fact that I spent over half an hour attempting to is a testiment to how much fun I was having with it ^^ - especially considering that my life on average lasted probably one minute.
I absolutely ADORE the art, I don't suppose you made the art yourself (but it would be incredibly impressive if you did) but even still USING the art you had so effectively is impressive. The camera was at just the perfect distance from the character to make it look absolutely special, and this will be my point of reference for any 2D games I make since
There sure is a lot of burning happening, wouldn't call it a slow burn though ^^, not sure if this is an intended mechanic but I kinda enjoyed the fact that the levels carry over after death, although the fact you still started with the values of level 1 made it's usefulness limited. Love that the items are from Warcraft 3
Targeting enemies by clicking on them is a little inconvenient though, but hey it's a game jam game, and I wouldn't be able to do half of what you did in one week. Love it for what it is, never managed to figure out how to cast the ultimate though, and the enemies are spawning so fast that I never made it past the starting room even when I got all my skills maxed out (well, if I were starting with full mana I could maybe make it work?)
Superb game jam game non the less!
Very juicy experience! Took me a while to figure out how to effectively attack and not get instantly surrounded by the enemies.
Still only managed to get to the second stage, but It's a fun game, I imagine the money system was planned to be used for an store that didn't make the cut in the game jam time? Would for sure play a finished version of this
Hmm, I am really not sure how should I rate the game on the audio scale, on one hand the self made sound effects are very creative and charming. On the other hand, listening them for a longer period of time ^^'...
Overall it was a fairly interesting game. The combat system is kinda cool, and I do enjoy the boss mechanics, even if I am suffering from serious skill issue. I however absolutely loved being crushed by manga - which then pushed me under the stage, and to my upmost pleasure I found out I can just walk all the way to the end of the game from out of bounds. And even the back ground music seemed to account for that
On a more serious note, it's an interesting game for sure, with a lot of charm. Even if at a certain point I started wondering if maybe too much charm ^^
Okay, so I absolutely love this one!
It's an extremely well made and fun clicker game. Really, really cool. But my frail old hands are a bit too frail to play the whole game. Still I love what you made here, it's a great game!
One piece of feedback, it would be good if the player had an ability to place a monkey on the walls or the robots had a bigger range of attack, so that it is easier to squeeze in a monkey to defend if they are already at the walls
Huh! I haven't actually seen anyone innovate Snake before. Really cool idea! I like the fact that you have to both control the snake with keyboard and pop the baloons with mouse at the same time, that feels really coool. The only thing is the game could have greatly benefited from teaching the player that you need to pop the baloons, as it is not really clear, at least it wasn't to me, that you are losing the game and not progressing to the next stage ^^
Really cool design!
So, I really enjoy the idea of the battle controls. I have myself been thinking about innovating the turn based combat for a few years now, playing with various different things. And I do like what you came up with quite a lot, but I am having a very hard time getting the characters to do what I want them to.
Still that is understandable with just 4 days of dev time, I do believe with a bit of polish to make the characters more responsive it's an awesome idea, and I really enjoy the art style !
Very solid submission right here. The music is very eerie, but I am sure that is the intent behind it - so good job ^^. You had the time to implement the coyote time, which is always a big deal for platforming. I also really like the idea of the head of the character being detached from the body. It does make for more interesting death scenes with little work. Also not sure if intended, but I do really like how you can grab a ledge with your head.
The art style is quite nice, and I do enjoy the combat system, it's very enjoyable
This is really interesting!
I really like the idea of having to carry your gun wielding buddy, it looks super cool, I love the fact you can throw them off the edge into the abyss, I like the puzzle design, although I will be honest I at first assumed that the spikes will activate if the gun monkey sits on them too, and that if they happen to land on them you have to pick them up very fast - and I do think it could be fun to make it so after the jam is over
Really cool game
The game is very cute and cozy, and I would say fairly accurately recreates the feeling of having to herd sheep. This is exactly how I imagine a sheapeard dog would feel ^^
Did get my flock stuck in the trees when I was trying to make sure one slow sheep doesn't get left behind. But yeah it's a cute game for sure!
Very pretty art, also finally get to play a fnf style game that doesn't make me feel like I am old and my fingers no longer work! Feels so good to actually get some perfect notes in, instead of finding out that I can't press the buttons as fast as the game expects me to (looking at you Toby Fox -,-)
Cute game! Very enjoyable
Well, the art got my attention pretty much immediately, I love these little ghosts, they are super cute. I also enjoy the combat mechanics in terms of defence requiring you to get out of the way from attacks that is very cool. I do however feel like it's a bit too easy to lose, the correct zone on the attacks is pretty slim and one miss can drain the entire comfort bar.
Still the game appears very cute, I like how it looks. Not to mention - you had to put up with Unity UI and managed to make this in just 4 days!
Okay, so this is absolutely an underrated gem that I found by going through least rated games.
I love the game feel, the gun feels super good to use, love the sound, love the game feel, great use of the models too - makes for a really fun stylised game.
The waves feel good to play, and we get giant Mousey as the boss fight? Love it. Very very fun game that I immediately shared on discord as I think it's criminal for this to sit at only 4 ratings.
The only concern I have is - I think that the OST used for the boss battle could be an issue unless you have permission to use it? Great game tho, short but I loved playing it
I like this one. The graphics are adorable, really like the models. I like the fact that the monkeys run away from you, I like the fact that the game has properly implemented coyote time - which jam games usually do not have the time to implement.
At first I thought that the game has very brutal platforming, then I learned that I was missing one movement option. And then I learned that this is actually a super man game. I'll be honest, I do not think you intended to give the player the ability to fly - but I honestly like it better this way than if you couldn't ^^
It's a great idea, and I like the art style a lot, but the pixel art is a bit jittery, at least on my end which makes my eyes tired very fast and it makes it a bit difficult to see what the obstacles are.
It's also fairly brutal that you have to start from the very beginning whenever you lose ^^' There was also one time I glitched through the floor and ended up going bankrupt - but I do believe there's a great idea there that would be a lot of fun if you had a bit more time to work on it
