Fun game overall! Keys were pretty easy to find but not SO easy they were obtainable instantly. I encountered a bit of a but around 1AM though. I just... couldn't run anymore. Crouched, uncrounched, my character just wasn't having it. So if I was spotted, it was pretty much game over unless there was a hiding spot nearby. All in all though, good game. I have no idea what the phone dude said at the start though. The second he started talking, the monster started chasing me so I went off hunting for keys xD

I kept dying at first but I finally got as far as 1 key to go :'D  The monster is surprisingly scary with the sound of its footsteps and when it roars. The red eye lights were useful to see where it was and make you scared. The shocking mechanic was a little confusing at first, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do anything to activate it but then it turned on by itself around 3am which was a nice relief. Aside from the keys being hard to find this was a fun scary game, good job! ^__^

*edit: Oh yeah, there wasn't much visual difference to being crouched or not which confused me sometimes when I tried to sprint and couldn't 😅

Crazy good work as your first game, very scary. The keys were a little hard to find but the game was fun nonetheless.

That's great to hear. I'm in the works on fixing that. Plus some extra

Ambience is hitting, tingling me bone. Amazing work even for a 5 days. though I have same issue with previous commenter, as the key is hard to find. Fine job for first game too!

Developer

Thank You for Playing.
Yeah, I plan to fix it as a final version. Wasn't able to fix the afterlife so the keys that weren't picked up glowed

Woah! Your game is pretty cool! The monster is incredibly anxiety inducing which I think is a good thing. Though the keys were just impossible to find around 4 left.. Maybe making them brighter or easier to see would help? Regardless awesome job for your first game. This is also my first game and jam too so I totally get the time crunch, I learned a ton I hope you enjoyed making this game. I also loved the death animation for the monster and lighting! Great work!

Thank You. Yeah, Unreal did me dirty since I turned off Nanite and Raytracing. So they didn't shine. And I was planning to make them bright in the Afterlife, to give it more meaning and make the theme stronger. But I ran out of time. Also had problems with the Keys -_-

Hope you had Fun with it thoug

good first game!

you'd get more people to play if there were a web version

Developer

Thank You
Don't think webs would handle the Unreal Engine XD

But yes, because people will be more willing to play web games because they don't have to download them. And also there is a risk at downloading a virus
