Great work on this game, it was fun to set up machines, I wish I would have known how the lil guys would spawn in before starting my machine so I didn't have to restart from the start to get a functioning machine. Overall, great work and keen to see what you do with this in the future.

Developer

Yeah in the future I will make it more obvious where they are going to spawn, that's something I plan to do. But thank you!

The music, IS SICK, high rating on everything! check out my game too?

Developer

Thank you! I've just rated your game, and I have similar praise for you. Well done.

A neat game with some funny elements about it. Gets better as you play through it more. I also enjoyed the music so well done on that too. Good job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'll give our composer your compliments.

No worries, and thanks :)

Fun game.

Had to press full screen to see the menu. There's an option in the page setup to go to full screen straight away.

I can see this turning into a full factory automation game.

I felt for sure my promotion was gonna be being turned into a burger lol

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! The full screen immediately setting is a good idea too so thank you, we'll change that if we ever do make a full release.

And we may just have to add that idea, we'll have to wait and see...

Such a fun core game loop, I very much enjoyed forcing the little guys into the meat grinder lol. I think you have real potential for a bigger game here if you keep working on it. The writing of the tutorial robot is really solid and full of personality too. All three of the build options (conveyors, etc) felt fun and had their own use cases and potential for invention. Mouse wheel to rotate belts feels great. Keep up the good work!!

edit: also I got softlocked at the start of the 200 burger wave, the background never loaded and the lil guys never spawned in. which was a shame because i was really enjoying my run xD

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! I'm sorry about the abrupt ending, but we simply didn't have the time to add a proper one. However, if we ever do make a full release then we'll add that ending.

Great game! highly addictive! well implemented theme for the jam, can you rotate the conveyor belts? Because I couldn't find how. Still, I had a lot of fun, great job!

Developer (1 edit)

Yes, the conveyor belts can be rotated with the mouse wheel. I was thinking of making an interactive tutorial instead, because that was glossed over a bit in the current one, if we do release this as a full release. I'm glad you liked it though!

it's a fun concept for the theme, and it scratches that same itch that agario used to. The gameplay gets really satisfying real quick. And the music is a bop, never lets you forget that something sinister is being cooked up
it's a nice game

death is an opportunity, to acquire some delicious burgers !

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll make sure to tell our composer that you liked the music!

And you are absolutely right, death is an opportunity to make delicious burgers.

I think this game has a lot of potential actually! I ended up playing for quite a while but never managed to get 50 burgers. At first I just randomly clicked on stuff and ended up with just conveyor belts in the wrong place, and there was no way to undo my mistake. Then I got an attractor really close to the whole and it only very slowly and accidentally let the little critters fall into the hole. So I spent a lot of time just waiting to slowly get enough burgers to purchase anything. I do like factory automation games and you could make a cool one with this idea and some more progress.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! I definitely see how you can end up softlocking yourself in it though, so moving machines is definitely something I'll work on in the future.

We also have a game called Smog from the last Godot Wild Jam, so if you would check that out too it would be much appreciated!

Nice work! Rated it!

It would mean a lot if you could rate my game too! https://fernando-ferreira.itch.io/death

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I'll be sure to rate your game later today too.

Thanks!!

I've had a look, but I'm not able to run it properly and I'm not sure whether it is an issue on your end or mine. Any ideas?

This was so fun! Definitely underrated

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Loved it! I spent quite a long time playing without realising. One small thing, though: once I got the promotion, the whole level went dark and no enemies spawned. Is this a bug?

Really addictive gameplay and simple art. The music is great, by the way. Good job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you, I really appreciate it. You have our composer Max to thank for the music. The promotion thing isn't a bug but isn't really a feature either - we simply didn't have time for a proper ending. We are considering fleshing out a lot of our games in the future though, so you can look forward to a finished ending and more levels then!

I'll stay tuned, then!
