Popeye got me. Guess I should have eaten me spinach.

In all seriousness, though, this game was a lot of fun. I love lidar scan games for horror. They have so many unique ways to mess with your head and the environment that others do not. Good job making this in just a few days! Maybe reel in the environment size a bit or make some of the items a bit easier to spot if you plan to stick with these. Those both added to a bit of tedium moreso than they did tense atmosphere.

Man, this was really scary o.o

I managed to get 5 of the Echo Notes but it took 30 minutes cause I was hiding for so long lol. I've seen Lidar games before and this is just as cool, the concept of switching between views is very cool, thankfully for my heart I never saw Popeye but the lurker found me in my hiding spot. The map was maybe a bit too big, I think it would've been cool to have a way to know which general direction you should go in to find the next Echo Note. I also got a bug where I couldn't use the burst scan with right click which did not help my stress lol. Overall a solid game though, excellent work!

Love to see some lidar horror stuff. Really creepy not being able to see, then even more creepy that i can see just a little bit. Great horror vibes. Good job!

This reminds me of another Indie game that uses the scan mechanic and I really love how others pick it up. Because I think this is such an atmospheric way of navigating a space. Well done ♥

However, as others have pointed out, it is hard to find things simply because of how hidden some of the items are (looking at you key in the beginning I thought I could not reach) and because there are no real quest markers. The space also seems bigger than it probably is and I found myself running in loops trying to find the things I need to find. I did abuse the infinite scan bug to filth. Which... can take away the scare factor a bit since you scan constantly.

Again, good job at using such an interesting mechanic. Would love to play an updated version of this.

A unique and really visually interesting game! I loved the concept of seeing without using your eyes. I did end up getting quite lost because there is no map or markers, and I couldn't find my way around, but I loved the environmental storytelling and tense atmosphere!

I liked this one! The mechanics are cool, and the art style is really nice, it’s got a great vibe overall.

I did run into a few bugs, though:

When opening the pause menu, the mouse doesn’t come back, which makes it a bit buggy. I also accidentally paused during a cutscene once, and it completely broke!! I couldn’t unpause or continue.

If I switch screens while holding the button, it sometimes causes an infinite “use” loop, and I can’t turn it off. Also, sometimes I accidentally end up aiming at myself, lol

Overall, good work! Aside from those bugs, it’s a fun and promising game!

Thanks for playing it and for the feedback, Yeah the pause menu is a glitch machine., and you could navigate only using the keyboard even in pause menu, as it was made keeping controllers in mind, I think Bringing back mouse would be a better UX in PC

Very impressive mechanically and conceptually, seriously great job there! I was seriously amazed when I figured out how traversal with the LIDAR gun worked. I do think the pacing could be improved a bit though. Great job overall :)

Thank a lot for playing the game!
Yeah I did want to have a balanced pacing but got no time, and the people  in discord were like make it an open exploration game

So double-edged review!

first and most importantly, this is an extremely cool concept, the lidar looks amazing and is very well executed, the level design is also awesome and all around very visually interesting

second, when I was playing, I couldn't find the key to the gate, and I ended up glitching myself into the next area which bugged something with the lights, and then I could see the whole time, I couldn't progress and never saw Popeye, so my overall experience is mixed

Thanks for playing the game!
The keys are in the outside area on the right side of the entrance, only visible in Lidar mode.
I guess you took the spelunky into the cave method (which is an alternate way of entering for speedrunners)
Popeye comes only after collecting 6 notes, should have called him earlier I guess

Very cool visuals,  really fun to play around with the LiDAR, and a neat interpretation of the theme as well! Very creative!

I did run into 1 minor issue. When I paused it didn't give me the mouse back so I wasn't able to change the sensitivity.

Thanks for playing the game, glad you liked it.
Only keyboard works in menus, keeping joystick controls, I guess mouse would be needed for PC UX

AWESOME AESTHETICS - great use of assets to create something new and creative. Theme wise i was a bit uncertain of how it fit but the lidar system created awesome visuals and i felt the tension and fear when i was being stalked. I never saw popeye, but regardless had a lot of fun playing this!!! great job keep going :)
