Felt like I was playing phasmophobia at first with the visuals, and a timed ability to see is a neat idea but overall the game did feel a bit bland. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and graphics were good, but after a while of walking around I feel the horror aspect lost it's edge, not to mention backtracking felt like a nuisance through the somewhat slow walking and no option to speed that up.
The controls also are okay but the weird momentum when stopping didn't feel quite right. The gameplay was just go there and go here, through a bit of help of the all knowing main character who just knows things at random, without enough scare to be engaging.
I've had some issues with the game, on the first playthrough after getting the key at the start I started to explore the second floor and got closed in bathroom with seemingly no escape.
After starting a new run, I got the first diary in the music room on the second floor, went in the study with the upside down table, turned into day mode to get past it, but as I returned into night mode I clipped into the table and out of the window, falling out of the map and needing another restart.
Issues aside, the concept of jumping between day and night was interesting, although the place still felt a little bit too empty during daytime
I really like the aesthetic and gameplay concept, but I wish the day mode cool down is a little bit shorter.
Nice mechanic you got there!
I missed a little bit more action :)
Keep on the good work!
Large, well-developed space, but little activity. The soundtrack adds atmosphere, I would like more variety.
Good luck with new developments!
Really unique. Switching between was really cool. Good sound design too. I got stuck inside a stall when I went between 😅 Cool game and great submission!
Awesome game! The visuals are stunning, and the atmosphere is incredibly well captured. Really well done, I hope this project keeps growing
This game is simply brilliant. If you’re looking for something that captures the essence of true horror, this is it.I’m not a fan of cheap jumpscares, they’re outdated and predictable. Thankfully, this game doesn’t rely on them. Instead, it builds a deep, tense atmosphere that keeps you on edge from start to finish.
The transition between the bright school and its dark version is especially well done, it creates a powerful emotional swing that pulls you right into the story. I genuinely enjoyed it and would gladly play a sequel if one ever comes out.
If you haven’t tried it yet, go experience it for yourself. It’s worth it.
This one was actually scary! Even though, nothing actually happens throughout the game you always feel in danger. The sounds are crazy good. The idea to shift between day and night worlds is amazing. The only thing that I would suggest is to add brightness settings, cause it was very hard to see, at leas for me. Anyway amazing game, interesting story, well done!
This place really reminds me of my high school! (Literally!)
My school was up in the mountains, and I lived in the dormitory — wandering around the campus right before curfew used to feel exactly like this game.
Including the voice acting, the sound design is very clean, and the graphics are great too! Especially the sound — I really liked the voice actor’s performance.
Oh, and I have one small piece of feedback:
Would you consider adding an option to turn off the screen-shake effect while walking?
I tend to get motion sickness when my field of view narrows, and I felt a bit dizzy while playing this game.
I’m amazed by the environmental work between night and day. I took the time to switch to day mode in several places to admire what this school used to be like, and every time I switch back to night mode afterwards, it gives me cold sweats.
Upstairs, there’s a door that only opens halfway, allowing us to see inside without being able to pass through. But if you go as far as you can against the door, and switch to day mode, you can explore the room. I looked for a little Easter egg here, like the dwarf that can be found under the stairs in day mode, but it’s still cool for an explorer like me.
One difficulty in level design during development must have been avoiding getting stuck by collisions placed differently when navigating between day and night, and I think it’s well handled.
The ending gives us the same feeling of liberation as the character: it’s daytime, the music is catchy (it even sounds like he’s rapping a little over it, which works well).
Well done!
The game feels quite polished and all the 3d models are really great! Great scary atmosphere and sound design.
I really like the game and the environment is awesome! I dont know if it was the intent or if it was just due to time constraints but I actually really like the gmod/half life type of aesthetic here, its like a slight step up from psx while still really fitting the indie horror vibe, great work!
Super nice atmosphere and super nice sound and design. Nice that there was voice acting and wished that there was a bit more melody or tonal changes with the voice.
Initially I didn't get the mechanic. Maybe a little icon over the hearing aid could have helped. I also had trouble progressing after the second diary. Saw some numbers but walked around for a long time without finding the right spot. Oh well.
Very unsettling and very spooky
I really liked this game! The voice really reminded me of Dexter Morgan. that's pretty cool.Great Game!
Hey! I really liked your game. The atmosphere was excellent. If you don´t mind me asking, how did you made the day/night swaps? Is it another scene? Also, the character movement is cool, though I would suggest an option to disable the head movement since games with that type of movement usually make me a little dizzy.
