I really liked your game! It totally reminded me of Hotline Miami, and the final boss was giving me Binding of Isaac vibes. I genuinely enjoyed it! I also got spooked when an enemy suddenly popped out from around the corner, haha—super good! The sound is cool too, and I love that you added a little reload animation for the gun; that was great.

I only had two minor issues, nothing major, just giving you a heads-up: sometimes a small enemy would just stop and wouldn't chase me anymore. The other one was that the death animation played, but I didn't actually die, so I ended up having to restart the game.

Overall though, it was a great game, congrats!

Thank you for playing! Yes, the enemy AI needs an overhaul for sure. I simply didn't have the time. Do you recall what you died to when the death animation triggered but you didn't die? That would be very helpful for sure. Thank you again, I'm happy you enjoyed it.

It was a small enemy that killed me when that happened. I think I was walking and reloading when it occurred. The animation of turning into that 'mass of flesh' played and just stayed on the map—it never disappeared or triggered the 'try again' menu.

Very helpful, thanks. looking into it

Couldn't recreate it but added a redundancy check that inhibits player movement if the mutation object exists, and another That creates the Game Over object if the mutation object exists in the event that it isn't created like intended. This should clear it up... hopefully. lol Thanks again.
