Wow that ending caught me off guard! Great entry. The fishing mechanic was pretty fun, charging the ligths as well, cool way to represent the spin. Visually, it looks excellent, happy to see many of us love that style hehe. The audio aspect was nice as well, the atmosphere felt tense and I love how you played with silence sometimes. The POV in between days really added a lot as well, like I was being hunted!

However, the mouse sensitivity was a problem, I'm guessing it is because it is framerate dependant, but it was reaally slow (still playable ofc). I also think some more feedback would benefit many aspects of the game, for example SFX when catching something, or more info on how to start fishing.

My first playthrough I did not realize I could only fish in small areas the second day, and I also didn't really understand a day had passed, I thought the character woke up in the middle of the night and I had to do something specific in those 5 minutes, like fixing the car, rather than fishing. Lastly, the RNG was a problem for me my second playthrough, I continuously caught small fishes that were not worth match, and did not make it in time.

This is a great game and even more so for a game jam, I wanted to comment those things to give as much feedback as I could. I really enjoyed and congrats! Good job

Thank you so much for playing - that's some really great and detailed feedback!! We're hoping to add to the game at a later date so this is super helpful, thank you!

Very fun way of handling the fishing mechanics with the fast paced button presses. The environments is very well put together (ignoring the giant black mass blocking you from leaving) and I always love a good PSX horror game, I just couldn't finish it because of how low the mouse sensitivity was, like my god, a one trillion ton Beyblade pushed by a human turns faster than the mouse sensitivity in this game. But still a fun game for what little I was able to play and an exceptional game for jam standards, well done!

I really liked the game. I haven't played many fishing games, but i can say i enjoyed the experience. The game has a very good atmosphere and excellent visuals. I would like the game to have a scary story, i see that the game has an interesting idea. Good entry 😊.

If you have free time, could you play my game too?

Really enjoyed the unique fishing mechanics and the eerie atmosphere. The blend of fishing and horror elements kept me engaged. Would love to see more depth in the gameplay and clearer direction. Great work overall!

Cool idea, and the fishing mini-game was definitely fun. I also think the artdesign is great. But unfortunately, the mouse sensitivity is much too low, which spoils the experience.

The fishing mechanic is brilliant, I haven't seen any other game use that way to manage reeling in fish before!

Nice merge between fishing and horror game! The fact that you need to keep cranking the lantern while fishing makes it a little bit more stressful.

The game looks amazing, and the fishing mini game is cool. Having to manually crank the lights is a really nice touch. I wasn't able to finish, I had extremely low mouse sensitivity that made it really hard to move. Still really enjoyed the game despite that and think you did a great job overall

On the first night, it felt like a chill fishing experience at first . But the fish I caught gave me a really unsettling feeling. They looked terrifying!

Then, once I got to the second day, the timer and the need to stay within the light made the fishing way more intense. I really liked that change in pace. Also, I enjoyed the fishing minigame where you have to press A, S, W, and D. It felt like a nice test of focus and reflexes!

It was incredible!
I spent a night 10 seconds off and had a drop of sweat.

The style is great. Thank you for the experience!

Nice visuals! Cranking the lanterns was pretty fun, but the light faded too quickly. The fishing mini game is fun, though a bit too easy. Overall, a nice and spooky fishing game!

Thank you so much for playing!! We thought about adding a hard mode so maybe that would be more your speed!

Never really liked fishing, until now!  Kept dying though, I'm probably just not good enough at night fishing!

Thank you for playing!! It's super tricky, try to stay in the lights until your screen has returned to normal before moving on :D
