Even though I rarely play games like this one, I really loved this one! Absolutely fun with awesome music and audio. Actual jam in a jam.

Perception does make it a bit harder initially as I needed a bit of time to get used to. I think there is also too little feedback when you make a mistake, but I do understand that it can be good as it would not disturb the player’s rythm. And as others may have pointed out, there may be too little dialogue as it repeats pretty fast.

But overall, it was really well made and felt very polished. Really well done!

Charming pixel art and dialogue with a simplistic but fun gameplay! Feels like game that would be on the DS (except for the fact that well, this game isn't dual screen)

Wow, this is so well made! It has great visuals, dialogue and is really polished! I couldn't beat the game, but it was still a great experience! I can't say it could've fit the theme a bit better (since I didn't finish it to be sure), but that would probably be my only  issue. Would love to play it again after the jam!

To be honest, I think max perception made the game harder for me! I couldn't beat it, which kinda bummed me out. It kinda felt like it was easier when I refunded 3 perception, lol!

That being said, good art, good music, fun dialogue, and a nice degree of polish for a jam entry. Great job!

Mmm, appreciate you giving it a solid try! If it makes you feel better, it usually takes me a while to beat it too. Probably a sign we should've made it slightly easier, haha.

Yeah, even when testing I tend to favor stamina / agility over perception, since I usually find it harder to remember the prompt input when it isn't playing fast. Maybe we could play into that a little bit, hmm...

Appreciate the feedback, and thanks again for playing :)

Enjoyed the artwork and puncraft!
Some of the dialogue personally felt a little too frontloaded for me in a jam, but when i got into the game i did enjoy unlocking that " monke see light hit button " part of my brain for a few minutes :P
Nice work!

Developer

Haha, thanks spoon. Yeah, balancing early gameplay with dialogue to set the stage is a bit tricky. Great feedback, we'll see how we can incorporate it in the next one!

What a cool game - a good take on a rythm/simon says game - I would have appreciated a short countdown instead of immediately going into each 'set' but that is a small thing - I enjoyed it and the graphics were great!

Developer

Oooh yes, I like the countdown idea! Could be used to add some nice flavor, too.

Thanks for playing, appreciate the feedback :D

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it :)

Maybe we could introduce an endless mode, haha (i.e. just keeps getting faster / harder)

Really enjoyed your entry! I think the overall vibe fit the theme perfectly.

Also, it might just be me, but the background music not being on the same beat as the actual rhythm game seems a bit off. It's still a fun game tho and I wasn't expecting the part where you can get upgrades! Awesome.

Developer

Thanks for playing and providing feedback, glad you had fun!

Yeah, what you noticed is something we saw during testing too (instinct is to prompt / provide input with the beat). Something to look into, for sure :D
