Use of the limitation
I made a snake inspried game where the snake has two heads instead of a tail and it takes turns consisting of several moves to control each head. Each head can only eat it's own color of fruit.

Cookies eaten
No cookies for me, I need to lose weight not gain it! XD

I like the idea, nice spin on classic snake.

Thank you so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed!

Really cool concept and fun to play. Could be a really good versus game with a friend!

Developer

Thank you I am so glad you enjoyed! Maybe I could make a versus mode at some point hmm!

Honestly my first though was: What the heck is this abomination. But this double headed snake grew quickly on me :) Great concept and implementation.

Thank you so much and that's a funny initial thought XD πŸ˜‚

I loved your other game from GameDev TV jam "TV boy" (?) hence I clicked this one and I was so happy I did!

Excellent take on the concept where you control different "heads" of the snake!

I wished that it was more clear (than just blinking) what part of snake is the player controlling, maybe by making it grey? Loved the design and music too!

Developer

Oh wow we meet again! Need to try your game for this one too! πŸ’›

neat game! just wished there was more to do

Developer

Thank you for playing... if you had one feature that would be your main wish for the game to have what would it be? πŸ˜‰

But just for reference I made everything in the game within a much shorter period than the jam allowed for due to restarting the project a couple times, so some things were just impossible to scope with the time I ended up with!

Very clever and enjoyable puzzle game. Natural difficulty progression works really well.

I liked your use of SFX for feedback when the player moves, picks something up or tries to do an invalid move. Nice QoL feature.

Great job!

Developer(+1)

Yess I tried hard to make the sfx play into that, spent the last few hours working on the game primarily on QOL stuff like that (and making things like the autorepeat not continue when switching snakes etc, small things that most people won't notice them being there but would miss them/be frustrated if they weren't there)! Thank you for playing!

REALLY fun! The simple idea of making the fruits colour coded was a great way to make this more fun. Loved everything about it.

Also, you that you made art, music, and the game itself yourself is REALLY impressive honestly, teach me your ways please xD

Developer(+1)

Thank you for such a kind comment! Tbh the secret of the ways is I have been gamejamming for over 8 years. You could get here faster than me but the reality is there's no shortcut to instantly learning any of the skills. My advice is to do more jams for the experience rather than the result, just take part in many jams and chill and get a feel for doing all aspects, focus on the workflows during the jams and don't worry about poor results or failures in certain areas, discover what you are strong or weak at and focus on your strengths. I hope that's helpful! πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

That explains it, this was my first jam(and my first game that i released!), so I've got a long way to go before I reach that point. I'm excited for the journey though!

I will definitely participate in more jams if my time allows it(It's a bit scarce right now)! I did learnt a lot from this one as well, and I'll try my best to follow your advice :)

It was indeed very helpful! Always good to get advice from someone experienced. Thanks a lot, and good luck for your future games (and everything else you do) :D
