I liked everything about your game, except the fact I'm really bad at it!

Literally, I ALMOST finished the tutorial :D

I'll try it again tomorrow, with a fresh mind, but let's focus on my initial experience :)

So, like I said- I liked the look and feel of the game. The pixel-art-cute-pumpkin-guy and the chiptuney music felt like a PC game from 1994 (I mean it in a good way :)). I loved the fact, you included the tutorial, and difficulty levels. And the cherry on top- online leaderboards (didn't load at the time of me playing, but my internet is wonky today, so that might not be on you). What I'm saying is- that is a really high level of polish in just 4 days, and in jam where a LOT of people had very ambitious ideas that had to be visibly scaled down, or overscoped, that's really something comendable!

As for the theme- I felt like the player was more of the uninvited guest than the ghosts. Imagine- you're chilling under your... uhhh... numbered tile, and out of the blue, this pumpkin guy starts going around and marking your stuff! And not only this- he does that badly, waking up you and your mates! Of course you're gonna chase him around!

Many thanks!

Haha, I like the idea of actually you being the uninvited guest! Fits very well if you summon the ghosts regularly :D

I know that it's a kind of a game you either like to play or not. Regarding the leaderboards: There is actually an issue with the servers I am using...and it started with the submission deadline... lol.

Hope it'll run again within the voring period ao people still get a peak on the scores.

For game play itself: It is just minesweeper....instead of you don't die immediately when clicking a "mine" and you are able to "free" (reveal) flagged, and thus, mine (=ghost) tiles.

Hope you figure it out at get a highscore ;D

Yeah, I know it's minesweeper, with a fun take on it. And the thing is- I love puzzle games, I think, I'm good at them for most of the time, but for some reason minesweeper just defeats me :D Especially with ghosts chasing me :D

As for the leaderboards- I use lootlocker. They have a free licence for jam games, are easy to implement in game, and always worked for me.

Uh thanks forthe tip! I used SilentWolf...was also very easy to implement and is free as well. But...you see xDI'll try lootlocker next time maybe, but is it compatible with all engines?

Works with most of the popular ones. Godot is there, so is unity
