Cool Game I Love it

Submitted(+1)

As a person who gets really jump scared with this kind of games, I appreciate monster don't scream. I found the VR but couldn't pick it up, I've been having a lot of bugs with games on this jam I'm starting to think it's just me. The tone is horror + funny, and it brings what it promises. I think there is some room for polish still and maybe a small map would be cool? I don't know. Congratulations on your submission.

It actually made me jump at one point xD Great job!

I think this game is a joke  horror game.. It is kinda funny.. Like monster are literally brainrot meme from TikTok... The place and darkness looks pretty okay for kinda joke horror game.. And it kinda fit the game.. However.. I prefer the characters can also jumps scare you.. And not just.. Red text said game over every time monsters touches you.. I always find it lame.. And if I have to be honest with you.. I didn't beat the game.. Because there no map.. Meaning.. I keep getting losing.. No matter what I do.. There always monster kill me without I know or notice that they at this dangerous zone.. Or either that.. Or I keep probably end same place.. I know my goal is to find Vr.. But a map would make things a lot easier.. Plu be better if the monster attack you different way.. Like maybe one of them can shoot the player by using they fire power.. But despite that... I still think you did good job for making this in few days.. Especially in 3d game way 👍👍👍👍

The game has a great atmosphere, and I can imagine it gets even more immersive in VR (which I obviously don’t have).

No vr, but that would be awesome!

OMG! This game is so scary!😱

I loved the atmosphere and even laughed at the man behind bars, but it became so scary after!

I love how you introduce the controls! However the lighting was a bit too dark. And I was so scared!

Did vote on how it looks as i was not able to run on my potato :(

I really liked the atmosphere!!!

Nailed the atmosphere on this one! It is great that you can barely see in front of you. Your game is well-made but a little confusing, and at times it can feel a little unfair.  I died quite a few times without seeing the monster. I guess he was behind me; an audio cue could help smooth this out because it is very scary when you see the monster and die. I feel like I found the headset, but I couldn't pick it up and died. I also found something else that looked important, but I couldn't interact with it either. I really liked the enemy designs, a good mix of scary and funny, but I didn't see how the game fit with the theme. Nice work, keep it up!

Pros:

  • The atmosphere is creepy as hell, and the limited range of vision adds to the the horror aspect of the game.
  • Music is simple but effective
  • The visuals at the start of the game made me laugh (won’t spoil it for anyone - just make sure to take a good look around).

Cons:

  • The UX leaves me wondering what’s going on - I can’t figure out what to do! But maybe its because this is still in demo phase.
  • There isn’t a control for the volume or anything else
  • No UI (though this may be intentional)

Its kinda hard to say much about the game at this point - I don’t see that there is very much to do, and I can’t interact with anything. If you can, its not obvious. That said, there is a suitably creepy vibe - I would be interested to see if there is lore here that would help the player start to make sense of the world. I am suitably impressed by the graphics, sound , and concept.

Verdict: This looks like it has potential!

It's not my type of game, but the atmosphere work is quite good!

I really like the sound, the background sound of game is very good, would be funny if you add quick distant footsteps that play at random intervals to make players extra paranoid. The visuals are pretty good, the flashlight is actually helpful (some horror games make flashlights far too weak), and nothing feels out of place in this game.  When a creature gets within range to a player, you could add growls or more "feedback" to make the actual creatures a bit more scary (or something as small as a slight screenshake on death).

The only improvements I'd suggest are maybe more objects/furniture, like a few old pictures hung up on the wall (or to fit the horror theme, evidence from previous victims, like shoes in certain areas), since after running from the creatures, I often had to double check/ask myself "was I just here".  It's kinda funny having a  determined creature, sitting on a toilet, chase you down to a deadend lol.

Only weird thing I came across was a purple/pink cube chasing me, I believe it was when I took the path to the right or something (but my 2012 laptop is slow, so could be the cause). Overall you did well,  sadly, I couldn't find the headset though (about 20 attempts, I suck at horror games ).

Not my type of game, but wow - the sound design is amazing and also the graphics are very cool.

Your game is a solid game that kicks off with a spooky vibe and killer sound design. For a one-week jam, it’s seriously impressive, with visuals and audio that slap. Death scenes could use more drama. Playing at night? Guaranteed jump scares. It took time but I was able to find the VR. Good work!

I played it and found the VR headset after a few tries. The mood at the beginning is really creepy especially with the sound design which I liked a lot. But the creepiness fades once you actually see the enemy, and there isn’t much feedback when you get caught. The enemy itself doesn’t add any mood to the game it’s not scary, just something to avoid because it ends the game.

Maybe checking out a few more scary first-person games could give you inspiration for building tension and reactions.

Overall though, for a week long game jam, you did really well especially for a 3D game.
