I really love fiction of the game! I'm amazed how some layer of fiction make game interesting. Music is really fine.
This is kind of game when you start playing it's addictive :D
I like idea of mechanic that you can add some extra wood construction to better fill-up empty space, that's really helpful but at cost of wasting space where ppl could live, just great design.
Congratulations on your submission! *clap*
I really like the puzzle aspect to this game. Nicely done!
This game is cute and charming, did have to mute tho as the audio got annoying. I think the gameplay loop could be fun if you could place slight overhangs to help prevent situations where you get stuck on a tower with no way to expand.
Lastly I just got so confused trying to figure out why sometimes i can place 7+ blocks and other times its as little as 3. just feels like sometimes the game wants me to lose.
Really creative tetrise idea! I have enjoed my time playing you game. Sometimes I really like to play some puzzles! And I'm really gonna play your game for a hours if it's gonaa finished!
For now There is some momemnts to polish, but anyway thi is Cool entry, great job!
That was a fun little puzzle game! I liked trying to plan ahead and figure out the best strategy. There seemed to be an issue with the resolution on the web build, so I'm not sure if I should have started with a wider area at the beginning? The icon made it look bigger to me. I would have liked to have more options to choose from, or the ability to rotate some pieces. Also, getting blocked from building too high in the early game felt limiting. Even so, I made it to 20 days before the sinking rate ate up everything.
Great work for you first GWJ submission! I hope to see more :-)
I really enjoyed that! Some of those shapes were crazy, but it did feel very good when you were able to use them.
Fun idea. A bit confusing at first, but great once you understand it. I couldn’t figure out how to make platforms wider than three blocks, so I couldn’t place the five-block building. Did I miss something?
Each block of a building needs to be supported by a piece underneath it, but they can also be placed on the sea floor. Most pieces are fairly wide, so if you start by building vertically early you may need to spend time placing spacers on the sides to get them tall enough to use later on. I've found the most success building wide before building tall, and trying to stay wide as efficiently as possible
Took me a while to work it out but very fun once I had the hang of it, nicely done!
This was super fun once it clicked. I struggled just a little bit with getting into it, but once I did it was a great challenge!
Very fun and I loved the interpretation of the theme too! I felt bad just building new houses just to send them to die in the water right after though haha. Great submission!
Very engaging and adicting, difficulty was really hard but rewarding
Made it to day 16! Cool concept, I had fun :)
It took me way too long to realize you could place buildings off of the middle three support structures. Great concept though! I think the mechanics fit the theme perfectly, feels really cohesive.
I think I'm most impressed by this game's commitment to the theme. You think the 'decay' is your ever-sinking colony, and then you're three turns deep without a right-facing piece. You finally accept it, dropping spacers and making do, and then there it is: a right-facing piece. You repeat this cycle, each time whittling away at your faith that the game will give you the pieces you need. Finally, just as it is about to tatter beyond repair, the game throws you a lifeline. You've gotta have faith for the game to erode it, after all.
I didn't play The World Is Sinking. It played me.
Really fun to play. I managed to last 18 turns. Only complaint is that a certain segment of the music is considerably louder than the rest of it, so it got kinda loud sometimes.
Oh this is really fun! A super neat spin on the core Tetris idea. Planning your placement turns out in advance and doing some quick math to ensure you'll have enough placements to do it is really satisfying. I could see myself getting hooked on a more fleshed out version of this, really nice!
